That is hilarious! Keller, Cotch and Rhodes just found their career after football.

  3. avatar Bassett says:

I love the Keller “praise” hand in mid-song!

  4. avatar Brett Justin says:

rhodes has already done some acitng i believe…hes set for after his football career but I DONT want to think about that…to young for that now

    Funny stuff.
Suggestion: Guys, keep your day jobs. :p)

kerry rhodes better put down the mic, and pic up the playbook. he hasn’t been the same player he was 2 years ago, since he got into acting. he has played soft, and has lost the instincts. he is starting to remind me of eric mcmillen. let’s see him step up this year….or you could add safety to the long list of needs this team needs.

I don’t remember Erik McMillan acting at all.

the erik mcmillan reference is he was brilliant and made plays all over the field for 3 or 4 years, and then absolutely fell off the face of the earth. it was terrible. but maybe he should have acted. because he couldn’t ball any more

  10. avatar Brendan says:

    Alex,

He’s soft now? Because Mangini had him play 30 yards down the field as a safety net, he’s soft? Slow your roll, he’s not going anywhere.

  11. avatar john l says:

not that funny…more intrested to see what they are going to do come reg season.

  12. avatar greg sec 130 says:

alex, I got it, I just was wondering why you spent your first two sentences blaming Rhodes’ acting for causing him to become soft and lose his instincts, and how it is reminding you of Erik, who was a cornerback that benefitted from playing with James Hasty and was a terrible tackler who made big plays (feast or famine if you will). Rhodes is a much different player and his four minutes of career acting is hardly cutting into his film study. Do you really think if he “put down the mic” he’d be putting in an extra 30 mins on the practice field?

Dustin Keller actually has some singing skills- who knew?

  14. avatar alex morizio says:

    Brendan,

i love the guy, but facts are facts. and i’m tired of the ‘i played 30 yards downfield with mangini crap’

how close was he to the steve smith bomb? 10 yards behind the play, doing his typical ‘oh man come on your out of position’ fist pump when the play is over. there is no roll to slow here. stop the acting, know the defense, and go be the best safety in football. this isn’t 2006 anymore brendan.

    greg sec 130,
rhodes has been an actor over the last few years. this isn’t about him being on a late night tv show. he’s not good enough yet to be doing all this stuff. acting as if he’s a perenial pro bowler. he’s not.

  15. avatar Brendan says:

He was on the far 1/3 of the field for the smith bomb. And the fact he played 30 yards downfield is not an excuse, it’s a fact. How is he going to rack up sacks, FF’s and INT’s when he’s a safety net every play? To say that his dropoff in production is because he’s made 8 seconds of cameos in the past 2 years is insane, IMO.

  16. avatar alex morizio says:

he’s not making cameo’s, he is actually doing movies and acting. google it and i’m sure you will find it out.

bottom line is i’m expecting a pro bowl year from him, and nothing less. not, he was almost good enough. he wants to say we are the best defense in football, i’m with it. but he has to back it up. he is such an important part of this defense it goes beyond words. let’s hope he still has.

  17. avatar alex morizio says:

    Brendan,

have to sleep. worked all night. rhodes is still my guy, but i need to see him bust out this year. we need him more than anyone.

  18. avatar Brett Justin says:

hahaha dustin keller actually wasn’t that bad

  19. avatar Brendan says:

Hah, he’s already busted out. He’s not a rookie trying to prove himself. It’s not like he’s coming off an injury, he’s coming off a down year where he wasn’t utilized correctly to best make use of his skills.

I would say he’s 3rd most important defensive guy behind big Jinx (who is our only hope to having a top flight run defense again) and Revis (who is facing Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, T.O., Reggie Wayne, Chad OchoCinco, Steve Smith, Marques Colston and Antonio Bryant, among others…we need him to shut these guys down or we’re screwed). I’m not worried that he will have a strong season again, showing his versatility and skill, with a int/ff/sack combo of 10 or so.

Move over 85 bears, you and the Super Bowl Shuffle have nothing on the New York Jets!!!!

    BOOM!!

  21. avatar Rich F says:

I never thought they’d get Cotchery to do that. He’s a very quiet guy.
