Their Last Meeting: Ol’ Gang Green along with Eric Mangini paid a visit to Matt Cassel and Co. in Foxboro on a cold November night and as you might recall a Randy Moss touchdown landed the teams in overtime however Brett Favre would lead the Jets down field and eventually set up a Jay Feely field goal that would put the Jets atop the AFC East.

After tearing up the Texans defense away in Houston the Jets are headed home looking to back up the talk and hand Brady his first loss this season. The offense had a lot to prove last week [no strike that, Chez had a lot to prove] and they went above and beyond expectations and I cannot see why they can’t do it again with the Patriots defense weakened. Backed by a great defense the Jets have all the right weapons to put themselves at the top of the AFC East however it won’t be without a fight.
Win or lose, this is sure to be a great game so saddle up, get ready and chat with your fellow bretheren for the next few hours or leave a comment with your thoughts throughout the day. Now my friends, prepare for yourselves because the Jets have arrived and they are looking to defend their turf!

I’m as excited as I can be for a week 2 game. I think the Jets can pull this one out, but it;s not going to be easy. Welker’s out, which is huge, but Brady is still Brady, and the hooded one is still the same old hoodie. I expect the Patriots Defense to be tough, even down as many players as they are. If the Jets can establish the run, and stick to it, limiting the mistake, they can win. We’ll see.

This is just ridiculous, the Pats cannot line up and beat us. We are shooting ourselves in the foot and the referees incompetence isnt helping. At least we got the holding calls…Im already sick, someone make a freakin play on this team

Man I hate complaining about the refs but they are taking this game away from us. From a non-fumble fumble to a non-kicking kicking penalty to a horsebleep illegal conduct penalty. This game should be scoreless.

The referees are terrible. I hate even mentioning it but someone took TJ’s helmet off when he was on the ground and no one throws the freakin flag. Its actually disgusting to watch.

Defense looks worn out. That’s what happens when you expend all that energy, but the offense doesn’t do anything – and then the defense deflates that their effort is going for nothing. NE holds the fort, is patient, and then Brady starts picking them apart. Let’s see if the ‘D’ can revitalize. The Jets need points in the first possession of the 2nd half.

We gave them many chances to win. The fumbles were flukish and we gave them awesome position but they failed to take advantage. Penalties helped us quite a bit too.
