News: Jets Workout Some Friendly Faces
With news earlier that DBs Donald Strickland and Lito Sheppard will be out Sunday, the Jets took a look at some free agent cornerbacks Friday. Oh, and you might recognize them.
The Jets had cornerbacks Corey Ivy and Justin Miller in for tryouts on Friday. The announcement was made by Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. Miller last played for the Oakland Raiders, after being released by the Jets. Ivy played for Rex Ryan in Baltimore.

Under Rex Miller may work out better for this team. sign them both for low contracts.
i took a look at or schedule, its a tough one. if we make it to the playoffs this season, anything will be possiable at that point. All the game look winable.
Sanchez gets his 2nd rookie of the week award.

always thought miller was gonna be 2nd rd gem but never panned between injuries and give wrs too much space but was a good kick returner

depth is this teams biggest problem. we will have major trouble covering britt, washington, and cage. our top 3 corners are revis, lowrey, and coleman going into this game. that is not good. no way coleman, who is 5’9, can match up with britt who is 6’3 and physical. bad matchup this week. we need to win this game on special teams,, and kerry rhodes has to be all over the field making plays. tis is his week to step up and get some turnovers.

bowe is back on the trading block..any takers?

Quick note: Jets site has great picture of fan’s game ball you can load down for your desk top

lj… of course i would take bowe but with peolli as kc’s gm and a belicheck nut hugger i dont see him comin to the jets i hope im wrong his stats are just as good as marshalls and i dont think hes as much as a headache as marshall plus he is still young…dont be surprised if the jets “tamper” with bowe too

I would put Revis on Britt and Rhodes on Gage. Stop Chris Johnson and make them one dimensional. Run the ball all day if you can because their defensive line is not as good as last year’s. What worries me is their secondary against our WR’s. Finnegan is a good CB maybe not in Revis or Asomugha’s league but definitely a notch below them. Harper is a very physical corner so Stuckey is going to have his hand full. I expect a bloody game. Go JETS!!!

I say sign them both and cut O Connell and Gholston (J/K), but maybe cut a TE on the depth with O Connell. Cant have enough DB’s in this system. Plus having Miller to return kicks may = more carries for LW.

Can everyone please stop with the BOWE, Marshall crap?
We have a good recieving Corps. We do not need a diva.

so…..come crawling back, eh? (justin miller)

sign ivy, he knows the system, miller really isnt going to be an efective player for the jets in this system, plus we got leon so he wouldnt be returning kickoffs
