coach,

The return of Pace will provide a lift, no doubt, but calling him a "dominant pass rusher" is absurd.

He has around 20 something sacks in 6 full seasons, with his high water mark 7 in 2008.

There is no way he can be called dominant.

As the president and lone member of the Clemens fan club, I take issue with your remard that KC never bounced back from his mistakes. Watch his debut game vs. the Ravens dominant D. After a horrible start he rallied a team with a lot less talent than this one.

In preseason he had that horrible INT and bounced back just fine.

There is simply no evidence that he is a quitter, and has accepted his role quite nicely so there is no need for him to be unfairly criticized.

I hope he never needs to play a down for this team, again, but I will be very comfortable if he does have to step in for a few games at some point this season.

Wise - re: leaving Mouton in despite his earlier fumble, I don't know if you were aware, but Mouton muffed two punts last week as well! Unbelieveable that they'd still have him back there in the rain. He even went back out their after the 2nd half muff!

How about a team that starts the year 8-3 only to loose 4 of the next 5 and miss the playoffs

A few thoughts as I read the comments.

- We have a dominant pass rusher, He is suspended right now. Cant wait to see the level of play from him when he returns.

- The kid will make mistakes, yes he already has, if he continues to bounce back from them like he has we are good, Clemens was never able to bounce back after a mistake he spiraled out of control.

- O-line face a good front vs the Titans, other than that I dont know where the run blocking went, Fanaca was never a good pass blocker, you look past that when he pancakes a LB on the run though. He is aging. LBs are younger. They are still doing a decent job of keeping Sanchez upright. and giving him lanes to step into when there is pressure. I think we will be fine here, I still think they are a little banged up.

- I think this is the first time I read the word "Moxie" on this website, very good use of the word. I think it is an underused word. I may use it in a meeting today!

- I would like to see Keller used a little more in the offensive scheme.

11-5 and deep into the playoffs, would be a great season with a Rook QB, Rook Head Coach, and new leaders on the team ( Sanchez and Scott).

I see a team that's hungry and a defence that's playing with renewed life. It's as if they've been set free. On offence their going through some growing pains but once Sanchez really starts to get comfortable I beleive their going to be a very good unit. As Sanchez starts to play relaxed and gets better on passing downs defences are going to have to give up on trying to rattle the rookie and the running game will start to open up.

As a Jet fan it always seemed that we would lose games because of stupid little mistakes. Now we seem to be able to overcome those mistakes and keep moving foward in a game.

The 3-0 start feels good but I'm a seasoned fan[40 years] and even if we were to lose to the Saints next week a lot of unanswered questions that were swimming in my head in the off season have been answered and I can feel the warmth of the light... and it feels good.

You are what your record says you are.

They are undefeated vs. three teams projected as playoff contenders.

Historically teams that start 3-0 have made the playoffs 75% of the time so they are certainly contenders, especially with some of the tougher games on paper behind them and tie breaker advantage vs. TN and HOU.

They are imperfect, for sure, but who is perfect? You could argue only the Ravens are close in the AFC, so far.

Concerns, I have a few.

Offensive Line is underperforming, even Rex said so. Sure, teams are stacking the box and they have faced decent units, but do not seem to get a push on first down running plays. If they want to be considered one of the best lines in football as advertised, they need to improve.

Faneca is not pass blocking very well, at all.

So far injury free, little depth on offense at any position, really, if you think about it.

The kid is making mistakes, some that we would be killing Clemens for if he were the QB.

So far they havent hurt, he will cost them a few games. Love his moxie and potential, but he is still a rook and has to go through learning curve.

On defense, they are getting pressure from the blitz, but not from the base lineup. This will hurt them sooner or later. They have no true pass rusher, sad since they have a lot of money invested in those positions.

Was amazed Fisher, a highly regarded coach, did not target the back up CB's last week rather going after Revis. Perhaps the uni's played a part in disguising the players? And he left the return man in to fumble again? Brilliant. Sure they are killing him in TN.

In any case, they won the game and in the end that is all that matters, but they were hardly dominant and in fact pretty lucky. But all good teams have those wins.

3-0, it is what it is, promising, but there are some issues.

This team is the team that I've been waiting for...

A team that can play conservative offensively for a majority of the game; pound the ball on the ground and then open up the field with greatly executed pass plays.

An aggressive, but SMART defense that will play hard whistle to whistle, and do a great job on not giving up a big play. They tackle well and they are backing up the smack talk.

The defense has allowed only 4.2 yards/play...STINGY!!

The special teams guys are playing hard and that's all you can ask for from those guys. Great coverage on punts, and big hits on the kickoffs...

Mark Sanchez is spreading the ball well (4 td's to 4 diff players) and I like, no..LOVE his attitude, and the way he is out on the field to high five guys after the PAT.

my projections for the season are 11-5 and HOPEFULLY making an appearance in the AFC Championship game...LETS GO JETS

this is a great football team that is actually getting stronger every game. the best part of this is, is that we can expect this type of play from our boys for years to come. things are looking very fortunate for Gang Green.
