3-0 is no mirage. The New York Jets are a contender and I’m very close to becoming one exposed blogger. We’ll talk about a potential season-making win in the elements and look forward to a matchup of the unbeatens between the Jets and the Saints in Week 4.
Special Guest: Star Ledger’s Manish Mehta
Last week we got some great e-mail and chat questions so please keep them coming! Join me in the show chat on the show’s website, e-mail me at TJBWeekends@gmail.com or find me on Twitter at CGriffin415. Contact us before, during and after the show. We’ll read your tweets and e-mails on the air!

Yep there’s a whole article about it online and Rex mentioned it on the Michael Kay show. I read the post though and it doesn’t seem like that big a deal- all it says is that he was a bit disappointed about the number of plays he got in.
And from that same interview… Rex said when he first came here he wanted to trade Eric Smith but that Smith turned it around after the first minicamp- he was upset about not being the starter anymore but he sucked it up and learned to contribute however he could.

Anyone see that Chad is done for the season again. Tore up that throwing sholder again. He needs to retire and find a nice job as a QB coach.

clowney’s previous tweets have been personal and t.m.i. in nature. there’s a different between tweeting to thousands of followers and texting to one person, after all.
other nyj players seem to handle this medium with much more maturity. don’t want anything getting in the way of the team performing on sundays.

like i said in a previous post eric smith is definately the most improved player on this team…ill give him credit his first couple years for being a good tackler but now he finally knows how to cover i hope we dont lose him but if we do hopefully we get something for him… too bad for chad he is tough but fragile at the same time

Unless he does something during the season, Clowney is Mr. August!
-
Mr. August is an unfair label for him. They NEVER put him in the game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a play do so well in the preseason and not get rewarded. Why wouldn’t you give the kid an oppertunity? I don’t care if he sucks in practice (no idea if he does), some guys just play best when it’s show time.
No more Brad freaking Smith, I’d like Cloweny to get those reps.

they should throw clowney in the game he has ridicilus speed and hes a noname around the league so im sure he can get open…short slants all game and then go for the homerun once or twice it cant hurt look how many no gainers tj had sunday a couple of those plays could of went to clowney

FREE THE CLOWN. FREE TNE CLOWN!
We need to start a Free the Clown chant behind the Jets Sideline. Perhaps. Even go so far as to get T-Shirts made up…

Sheppard and Strickland – will they be back this week?
-
the saints have a subpar defense i have feeling they gonna try to start the clown era this week…hopefully he steps up for the challenge cause i have feeling if he dont do anything within the next few games he never will for the jets

file this under the i-told-you-so department:
for months, i’ve been saying that clowney says too much on twitter and that i didn’t want it getting in the way of his performance.
and today i see this tweet from manish mehta:
#Jets Ryan said he deactivated Clowney bc of a twitter post the WR had about being unhappy with playing time vs. Patriots in Wk2. #nfl
