Everyone is saying that Mouton handed us the game. I thought Trusniks' first hit on Mouton was a blast that shook Mouton up. Many returners would have given up the ball after that hit. Mouton was doubting himself, from that moment on. Who knows how Mouton would have played, if he wasn't rocked by Trusnik early on.

agree with you...if it wasn't for smith holding him down like that mouton could have recovered the ball since it was only an arms length away from him...heads up play by smith...just my thoughts...

Almost looks like Smith went for a UFC submission hold on Mouton! A real heads up play that really was the turning point that got the Jets back into it.

Hahaha, good stuff Angel.

@ Jeff,

I completely agree. Trusnik needs to stay on the team and get some reps at ILB. Once given a shot, I think he's got the mental and physical tools to be a very solid player.

The biggest special teams play of the game was Brad Smith holding down Mouton to let Izzo get the ball on the muffed punt.

Trusnik beat out New England kicker Stephen Gotskowski, who tied his career high with four made field goals (22, 33, 33 and 21) and Baltimore punter Sam Koch, who punted four times for 176 yards (44.0 average) and placed two inside of the 20-yard line.

I'll edit the post to include that info

Harvin did win ST Player of the Week for the NFC.

For those interested, here are the other winners:

AFC
Offense: RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Jags
Defense: LB Brendan Ayabadejo, Ravens

NFC
Offense: QB Kevin Kolb, Eagles
Defense: LB Lance Briggs, Bears
Specials: WR/KR Percy Harvin, Vikings
