Rex Channels His Inner-Mangini

by Corey Griffin on October 3rd, 2009 at 11:10 am

When Eric Mangini was the Jets’ coach, he was all about trying to simulate game conditions in practice. He would practie in the rain if it was supposed to rain on gameday and pump music in to simulate crowd noise. It seems Rex Ryan is channeling his inner Mangenius in preparation for the Saints game as the Jets practiced inside Friday.

The weather was great today here in Florham Park to practice outside, but Rex Ryan took his team indoors since they are playing in a dome on Sunday. He also had loud music pumped in, including the song, “Always Strapped,” by Birdman.

Sunday is sure to be crazy loud — like NSync concerts in the mid-90′s loud. It’ll be interesting to see if Rex’s strategy pays off.

I am a Jet Homer, but really, all the “pundits” are claiming we do not have a chance on Sunday.

Didn’t most to all think we were a 4th place team in the AFC east also? Didn’t they think we would lose badly to the Texans, the Patriots, and even the Texans (who were DESPERATE for a win)?

Truth is that I like our matchups here. I do not like not having Lito and Donald, or ofcourse Calvin, but I think we have a great chance to pull a win. I think all the negativity from ESPN and what not in saying we will lose will make us more hungry to win. This is a high flying team. And WTF is all this Drew Brees is an amazing QB under pressure. I like Drew since his SD days, but Tom BRady is the coolest cat under pressure and we rattled him up. Not to forget that Tom has much better WR weapons than that of the Saints.

This Offense is dangerous, but Colston will be gobbled up all day. Revis and the Jets were flat last week after a big win against NE. They overcame it and won. They are hyped this week. I hate to say it but the Miami game is the one to worry about as it is a flat week for the Jets, and it is Miamis Super Bowl with our without Penny.

    Jets win 31-24
Sanchez throws for about 250 and 2 TDS 1 int
TJ runs for 85 and 1 TD
LW runs for 65 and 1 TD
    Defense scores 1

    MARK IT!

They also said Andre Johnson would get 175 yards receiving on us….

    NSync???

  6. Brees IS good vs. the blitz, but rex’s D is not an ordinary blitzing D. Brees is also a lot more mobile than Brady and can make good throws on the run (like Sanchez).

I think Brees will put up big passing numbers, but not for the reasons most in the media think….He will put up big numbers because they will be playing catch up for most of the game. HAHA

THE BETTER TEAM? Lets take a look at the last 3 weeks. NO played Det, Mcnabb less Philly and Buffalo without lynch. Brees looked like a short QB last week for 3 Quarters with Buff sending 4. Now with the Green Machine sending at any time 6,7, or 8 and 1.8 seconds to release the loaf of bread shorty is gonna look real tasty. what the hell is that on his face? Dharris cleat mark.
