I agree with Joe, while Key had flamboyance issues he played the game right, and never, to the best of my fading recall, had a problem off the field.

I never had a problem with him and he is the PERFECT person to speak with Braylon.

Keshawn, while making valid points, is the last person who should be preaching. he wishes he had the talent and potential Edwards has. His bitterness is palpable.

I loved Keyshawn Johnson on the Jets - we've been trying to replace him ever since he left 10 years ago almost. I loved Cherbet and Coles, hell - they are two of my favorite Jets of all time, but we havent had a big reciever that was actually good since Key and I think we can all admit that. Braylon Edwards could finally be Keyshawn's replacement, and honestly has the talent to be even better. For as much as I do like Keyshawn, he was a red zone possesion reciever (I will never forget the images of Vinny throwing that fade route to him inside the 5 - it was unstoppable every time). Braylon Edwards could be that, and then some more with his speed as well. Just saying you can bash Key for a lot of things, but you can not say he was not a football player. He was also really good at run blocking, something VASTLY over looked in a reciever. You were always able to run on the outside with him, Brady and Jumbo on the same side......Just food for thought is all.

For all of Meshawn's flaws the guy was the #1 pick while running a 4.6 40 and became a star of NY for us. He also got a guy like Parcells to take him anywhere he went.....and Parcells knows alot more abotu football then I do.... at least i think....lol

His advice is sound. Be a star on the field and then the other stuff will come. There have been plenty of pretty boy athletes that amounted to nothing because they forgot what made then popular.....

Okay, I can understand the fact that Keyshawn is now a spectator of those who are active in the league he once was in but....

this is coming from the same person who performed in "The Keyshawn Johnson Show" on the field whenever he had the chance. Such hypocrisy.

Keyshawn is a damn joke!

He has a SB ring and was sent home that season by Gruden. He only played 10 games that season and came back and didnt do anything productive in the SB. The following year he was in Dallas. Number 1 pick and never lived up to it in my opinion.

Braylon does need to quite the crap and play football, but for Keyshawn to talk like he is in the same world as Strahan is ridiculous. Strahan has commericals and shows. Keyshawn does countdown and sucks at it.
