News: Jets and Dolphins Inactives

The Jets will be without CBs Lito Sheppard (quadricep) and Donald Strickland (ankle), along with QB Erik Ainge, CB Ahmad Carroll, LB Jamaal Westerman, OL Matt Slauson and DE Ropati Rtoitua. Kevin O’Connell is listed as the No. 3 QB.

The Dolphins’ inactives are: S Chris Clemons, OL Shawn Murphy, OL Andrew Gardner, DE Lionel Dotson, WR Patrick Turner, TE John Nalbone and LB Quentin Moses.

Note that O’Connell, not Ainge is up for the game.  A month ago, folks were thinking Ainge might be the #2 … here’s some proof to the contrary.
