Game Analysis: Dolphins Want It More
Jets’ fans all season have had two worries. First, that their rookie quarterback would cost them a game. Mark Sanchez at 22, had precious little experience when he took over the team in training camp. You had to guess that, somewhere along the line, he would show his rookie face and blow a game. Second, that the defense needed to learn to play the new system installed by Rex Ryan instinctively, or they would eventually be exposed as just so many uncoordinated parts. Last week, as predicted, Mark Sanchez blew the game against the Saints. This week, it was the defense’s turn as the uncoordinated parts didn’t gel when they needed to, and the Miami Dolphins celebrated a 31-27 victory that they richly deserved. Not that they didn’t try to give the game away.
The Dolphins’ secondary is atrocious. Time and time again, they were flagged for interference or holding and each time it cost their team dearly. Yeremiah Bell and Gibril Wilson were the principal culprits while the rookie corners did not embarrass themselves. Still, it would be the Jets’ safeties who would uncharacteristically cost their team a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter when Revis released Ted Ginn to both safeties who promptly lost deep contain and gave up an easy seven. It would also be the Jets’ secondary that gave up two key passes on the Dolphins’ final drive. Sheppard and Strickland cannot get back fast enough. In fairness, Chad Henne played a nearly flawless game for the Fins. That’s what we said about Mark Sanchez in his first game. Remember?
As for the rest of the Jets’ defense, there were too many successful wildcat plays, the Dolphins running for close to a hundred yards out of the formation. They had 151 yards rushing overall. Way too many. The fact is, it’s hard to win when you allow 151 yards on the ground. If the Jets don’t get this fixed, there’ll be no playoffs. Remember, too, this is the Dolphins team that scored only seven points on Atlanta, and 13 on the Chargers. The Jets’ D gave up a cool 31. Mediocre at best.
As for the Jets offense, it showed some signs. Mark Sanchez started the game playing very skittishly not looking comfortable in the pocket. Gradually, he got his legs under him seeming far more poised by the middle of the second quarter. Fortune, too, was running the Jets’ way. Schottenheimer made an absolutely horrible call on their first series at 3rd and 3, calling for the Seminole to Leon, which the Dolphins blew up (one has to assume they play against this every day in practice). Weatherford, though, after bobbling the snap on the punt attempt, decided to run the ball and he took it 26 yards down the sideline to the Miami 40. Then a screen to Brad Smith with excellent YAC was followed by the first of many Fins’ interference calls putting the Jets at the Dolphins’ six. Two plays later, Sanchez would hit Braylon Edwards in the back of the end zone for the score. You remember, the guy with lousy hands that we shouldn’t have traded for.
As the game wore on, Edwards would prove invaluable because Cotchery, ailing all week, was lifted early and his replacement, David Clowney (Yes, I said David Clowney) left in the third quarter with cramps from the Miami heat. Cotchery was only thrown to twice and only caught a single pass for 4 yards. Clowney turned out to be very effective, catching four for 72. He had the most yards of any Jets’ receiver. Still, it was Braylon Edwards who was the high light of the game from a Jets point of view. He stood in, ran good routes, caught five passes for 64 yards including an acrobatic 34 yarder that was originally called a touchdown (although it was put back to the one after review(, and drew a questionalbe interference call ni the fourth quarter that lead to the Jets’ final td.
Leon also ran well, while TJ ran a little better than last week, which is to say, not so well. This is going to be a problem. Shonn Greene only had a few snaps in the second half for eight yards. Sanchez played well and he and Edwards were developing some chemistry. The offense came from behind twice to score touchdowns assisted by Dolphins’ mistakes. A second (or was it third?) pass interference call gave the Jets their last scoring opportunity which they converted when TJ ran it up the gut behind the surprise blocking of Robert Turner. I did not see Tony Richardson at all in this game. The offense gave the ball to Leon more often than last week, and the offense seemed to be getting into a rhythm by the third quarter. This is something we should watch for in the future. Unfortunately, with only one healthy receiver, there were still some limitations in the passing game.
The story of the game, however, was the defense’s inability to get stops. There was one breakdown after another. Bart Scott, for the first time, did not have a good game missing a lot of tackles. The Jets also were unprepared for the two tight end/two running back sets that the Dolphins were running behind. The one thing they seemed unprepared for was the thing the Dolphins do best: line it up and run it down your throat. Henne did just enough passing to keep the defense from keying on the run. He also made no mistakes.
So, we lost a close game to a division rival on the road. The Pats’ lost yesterday, so we’ll give the Jets a pass on this one. But, this defense cannot play this badly and expect to win in the future. Meanwhile, the next two are arguably against the two worst teams in the NFL. Let’s get well against inferior opposition and come back and beat the hell out of the Fins in the Meadowlands in three weeks. Then, I’ll be able to rest easy.

Sorry about the repost but these thoughts seem to fit better here.
That was painful. Not stopping the run was bad enough but the Jets also have to practice wrapping up QBs. Too many bail-out passes given up with near misses on sacks. Pressure’s nice but you have to kill the play. The Ted Ginn bomb was avoidable and was ultimately the difference. I expected the #1 rushing offense to have some success, but the fact that a rookie making his second start beat us and didn’t take one sack is unacceptable.
On the plus side, the Jets ran better and Sanchez bounced back to some degree from the Saints debacle. No turnovers or big mistakes, but I also thought he was playing a little tight and over-thinking a bit. The truth is he could have racked up passing yards against that team, even with Cotchery barely able to play. If that’s what he gets out of Braylon Edwards on a couple of days of practice, I look forward to the next few weeks.
Against the Saints, the D played well enough to win, and this week the offense did. Now if only we can have both in the same week.
Ouch, painful. That was rough.
Off-topic, I know – but I’m considering coming from west-coast Canada to the Jags game – anyone have any advice on where to stay, how to get from Manhattan to the game, and the best way to get tickets?
The Jets D just got punched in the mouth and I feel like I did too. My nerves are wrecked, my head hurts, and I feel like hiding out in a dark place until Sunday.
Third Down Efficiency
Jets: 4/11 – 36%
Dolphins: 9/14 – 64%
Passing
Sanchez: 12/24 (50%) 172 yards
Henne: 20/26 (77%) 241 yards
i dont know, but i dont have my head in the oven.
its still early. i’d much rather be playing my best football in november and december.
i still think this team has a lot of talent and is a very good football team. i still have a lot of confidence.
maybe i’m crazy.
I don’t think this is the Jets’ year. The only constant seems to be inconsistency.
not really too concerned about the defense, every defense has flaws and the Jets defensive flaw was finally exposed today. Keep in mind it was Calvin Paces FIRST game in a month, he didnt look good, but give me a break, he hasnt played in a while and it clearly showed, it doesnt mean however he should be replaced by Gholston. The thing that does concern me though is the defense isnt getting any sacks or turnovers. that was fine the first 3 weeks when they were getting great pressure but eventually their going to have to get actual sacks because even if you get pressure eventually a team is going to make a big plays of of it and you saw that tonight. Wheres all the forced fumbles? I swear this team caused a ton of fumbles last year hasnt happened so far. Also about the INTS its not like there dropping them, but there literally have been NO interception oportunities in awhile. IDK if its because the QBs are playing super conservative against the D or what but the opposing QBs seem to be taking care of the ball really well. Im not gonna freak out Adam Schein said it best on the post game show. this isnt the same old Jets, were just seeing classic overreaction by Jets fans that have been tortured of the years and it didnt help the loss came to the rival dolphins. Some people are saying the Jets should now shut up and blah blah blah but I hope they dont lose the swagger they have. Confidence wasnt the reason they lost, i dont think they overlooked the dolphins at all, I just think they got beat.
I could stop following them so closely and caring so much and then it wouldn’t be so painful when they lose. However, I wouldn’t get to enjoy the bliss of the Jets’ victories. I guess that’s just the nature of fandomania. Go Jets! Let’s crush the Bills Sunday!
i was left speechless for all the wrong reasons at the end of this game.
hard loss. at least sanchez and edwards looked really good. a couple more weeks and add a healthy cotchery and the passing game looks legit.
what happened to the blitz? we got pushed around except against jenkins and we all get smacked back into reality about coleman.
lets beat up buffalo and get pass this loss. i just wanted to see marc anthony crying after such an atrocious rendition of the national anthem.
Can someone find me the video of just Washington leveling Channing Chrowder? I need somethings to make me happy.
BTW did anyone notice it was Hispanic heritage night tonight? i dont think they mentioned it enough, did anyone notice the crowd booing when they had the Ref call the first penalty in spanish?lol I honestly dont think anyone cared, if you are going to like football your going to like it from the beginning you cant try to gimmick a culture into liking a sport its not going to happen.
Andrew:
Beware of Mangini’s gifts. He gave the Jets Two (2) players (Sanchez & Bray-Bray) for Nine (9) Jet players. Guess Mangini was fleeced by Tannenebaum, right?
Is anyone else tired of Thomas Jones?
Was that the nine players who scored that rousing six points against the woeful Bills yesterday? I doubt many people in Cleveland agree with you after seeing Edwards play tonight. By the way, Peter King’s got a story about Mangini that should run tomorrow. It may not be flattering.
Here is something i think nobody is talking about. Everyone can make a big deal out of the phantom PI call, which is valid, but how about that reversal on Braylon’s TD? It seemed pretty obvious that it was a TD, none of the defenders touched him until he was in the end zone. That lost challenge would have cost the fins a timeout, leaving them with only 1 left, which i think would have impacted their playcalling on that final game winning drive. Less wildcat runs, more throws by Henne? granted, the way they were moving the ball, it might not have mattered, but that could have been big.
That PI call didn’t look that phantom to me. Allen had Edwards’ arm pinned against his body right when the ball was arriving. And he wasn’t looking back at the ball, either.
The Jets probably should have attacked the Dolphins secondary even more. They likely would have if they knew they were going to give up 31.
I was at the game tonight and I gotta say…I hate Dolphin fans with a passion…Everything about the organization feels Mickey Mouse to me with their dumb fight song, the wildcat, and other antics that go on in the stadium that most of you probably don’t know about. That said, I am disgusted with the Jets right now. All night there wasn’t a doubt in my mind the Dolphins were going to score after we kept on pulling ahead. Where was this great defense tonight? Where was Rex’s mastermind plan against the wildcat (College gimmicks and misdirections..can you play a professional offense Dolphins?) Bottom line we should have stopped it and we didn’t. This loss is unacceptable and I don’t care if we blow the Bills out..big deal, we lost to the freakin’ Dolphins and their backyard football offense.(I have trouble looking ahead when I am so disgusted after a loss…I don’t look at anything positive). I don’t care that it’s a rivalry, you beat a team that’s inferior to you..end of story. The fact that I had to sit there in the middle of these creeps the whole night listening to their Disney fight song and hearing “That’s another Miami Dolphins first down” 100 times, bugs me. And this will stick with me the whole season because even if we blow them out in 3 weeks, we still lost to them…and that’s something these losers down here will hold on to..believe me when I say that..I’m in the same state as these rednecks. As long as they beat the Jets once, their season is complete. Some of you guys might think I’m going crazy here, but you don’t live down here and you aren’t surrounded by Jets hatred everyday between the radio hosts and just fans opening their mouths
While it was happening, it looked like PI, not so much in slo-mo. I think this is just another of the classic jets-fish games. Those guys enjoy all these games we hate- probably not so much on the games we loved. The D was quite dissapointing. Anyone know the series record?i
It wasn’t about the players.
Coach Ryan and Pettine failed to create an unorthodox formation to handle and unorthodox formation.
That, and no other reason is why the players were NOT
in position to make plays.
Our coaches were whooped.
But that’s okay- because every man has days like this.
I was upset with the defense. They couldn’t tackle, generate pressure, force turnovers, and LACKED GAP RESPONSIBLITY.
i dont care if that was a phantom pi call cause 9 times out of 10 that call is goin against us…the way i figured if you break the 16 games into groups of 4 we gotta make sure we go 3-1 each time so now we gotta win 3 in a row then well worry about the next 4….just sucks those last 2 miami tds i thought we were gonna at least hold them to a fg one of the times
also watchin alot of replays it looked like bart scott was over commiting the wrong gap yesterday…look on the bright side the d aint always gonna play this bad and it looks within the next couple weeks our offense might be much improved…braylon was making some great catches last night and finally clowney stepped up sometimes thas all a player needs to get things goin
i wanted that win so bad when they were showing marc anthony with his shirt half buttoned looking like an anorexic scarface celebrating like he won a superbowl….uggghh at least we dont have to wait long for revenge….thank god i dont own any marc anthony cds but if you guys think im throwin away my miami sound machine cds noway!!
Happy about the O, sad about the D. We couldn’t pressure Henne. The Wildcat kept the D on its heels. Bart Scott really had a hard time out there. For a defense be so good in weeks 1-4 and look so out of place in week 5 is disconcerting. I guess I shrug the week off and hope they figure the issues for the rematch.
It’s not the same old jets — teams lose games. The Colts went 12-4 last year after losing two straight on the road. The 12-4 Giants lost two in a row last year. The 13-3 Titans lost two straight road games last year. Teams that lose 4-5 games, lose 4-5 games. It’s not the same old jets people, it’s the same old doomsday fans. Pick yourselves up and beat the worst team in football Sunday, go to Oakland and beat them, and come home 5-2 to play this team again, with our crowd, and first place on the line. Enough same old jets garbage.
Same ol’ Jets.
We also weren’t fake punting enough :)
I stayed up til 5am to watch this game in the UK and was very disappointed.
No sacks, no pressues no hits on Henne defies belief. The Bills sacked him 6 times rushing four players. Too many missed tackles too especially Pace and Scott.
*** Jason ***
I’m going to the Jags game too (my first Jets game after supporting them for 25 years). Look for tickets on Ticketmaster, NFL ticket exchange (where I got mine) or stubhub.
Is there anyone else from Cleveland that we can get?
Rob Ryan after Mangini is fired.
that thud you just heard are this teams expectations dropping back to reality. We will have a few more hiccups until the end of the season but i think the defense was buying the hype about themselves. Poor tackling, no sacks and inability to get off the field on third and five and longer!!!
Rex Ryan is fully culpable here, sorry, this is his first head coaching gaffe, especially not calling a time out on the last goal-line stand to give jenkins a breather.
That being said, we have two WEAK teams on the menu and then we get miami back at our house. I think Woody Johnson should put Marc Anthony and J-Lo in a Luxury box so they can watch their crappy team get their come-uppins.
Let’s go Jets!
This is why the odds against us winning the Super Bowl are 50-1. We have a rookie QB and a rookie coach.
Last week it was the QB who cost us the game. This week it was the poorly coached defense, the lack of effort on their part, not taking our timeouts at the end to give us a chance to score again – all these fall on the rookie coach.
His excuse for not taking timeouts? He never thought they could score a TD on us! HUH? Did he not watch them ram it down our throat all night? So why not take them and make sure, JUST in case?
Look, I love Rex and Sanchez but I don’t think it serves any purpose to cover up for them. When they are responsible for a loss, they have to be held accountable.
And this one was on Rex.
There’ll be more of these this year (either by Rex or by Sanchez) but I love watching them this year. There is so much hope an possibility for the future. But no Lombardi this year.
BTW, on the next to last play, did they rule that Henne was outside the tackle box when he made that throw? Because that pass wasn’t within 10 yards of anyone and should’ve been ruled intentional grounding otherwise. Would’ve made the last play 3rd and goal from outside the 10 instead of the 2.
i feel sick…really sick….one stop, one play by one guy on defense….even after getting shredded all night all it would have taken is one damn play, and they couldnt do it…unreal…
we let miami back in, gave them confidence, and gave up a game and a half lead to new england in one fell swoop…the east is gonna be a three dog dogfight now, all the way down to the end, and we could have taken one of the teams out last night…discgraceful….they BETTER GET to 6-2 at the break
They got lucky to even make the game close, it took two succesful fake punts to even be in the game in the fourth quarter, were outplayed on both sides of the ball, only specials kept it close.
The warning signs were there coming into the game, Fins leading the league in rushing ypc, Jets allowing 4.0 per carry BEFORE this game.
Last night had nothing to do with the defense being unfamiliar with the scheme, not blitzing enough blah blah blah.
They were manhandled and yes, bullied, by the Fins superior offensive line. The lined up and ran the ball down our throats.
The Jets defensive line, has two huge holes at DE and the LB’s are perhaps just a tad overrated.
Is there still a weight clause in Jenkins contract?? Have they even bothered to weigh him?
He is a whale, and while a dominant presence on the field, he spends far too many plays on the sidelines, at which point the Fins ran right at his replacements with great success. This is why his prior team was willing to let him go.
In summary, the defense, yes the defense, has a lot of question marks rigth now. You can not scheme away a lack of talent, the NFL now has tape and is adjusting.
No pass rush, can not stop the run, sounds familiar.
I love how every no-name, rookie QB from a nothing college can come into the NFL and rack up passer ratings of 100+ ONLY against the Jets.
Time and time again, same ol’ Jets.
Pass rush non-existant.
Cannot stop the run.
Vanilla passing game, terrible running game.
But the most disappointing thing this morning is the lack of trash talk.
Been almost twelve hours since the game and no one has called Terrell Owens an overrated over the hill punk?
No one has twittered that the fearsome NY Jets defense is going to bully the young Bills QB into tons of errors and shut down their crappy running attack?
Or the new triple headed passing attach is going to scorch the Bills crappy secondary??
Of the best offensive line in football is going to smashmouth the Bills to death?????
C’mom Jets, get back on your feet and prove to the world last night was an aberration, you can still convince everyone your are a true Super Bowl contender if you get out there and SCREAM IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sarcasm intended.
How about this stats for you
Jets Team Sacks = 4
Jets Opponents Sacks = 10
LMAO.
kyle you give any professional qb that much time to throw they will put up the same numbers forgot about sacks we didnt even get within 2 feet of him…miamis ol was manhandling us yesterday…i wish we would of won so i could be happy about big jenks one handed tackle in the backfield on ronnie brown
.second I remember hearing the announcer talk about har parcelles picks his qbs…college grads with 30 wins….not
Sacks are not always the story. It’s putting pressure on the QB and making him feel uncomfortable back there to the point where he starts having happy feet and throws early or while backpedaling. The Jets didn’t do that to Henne last night.
I too despise the Mickey Mouse show of a football organization down there. Hate that lame fight song, lame fans and Mark Anthony. Really? Really? Mark Anthony owns a football team? Really?
Next thing you know Lady Gaga buys the new LA team.
I sat there last night feeling like I hated the Fish organization more than I hated the Pats. Is this possible?
I wanted to punch Sparano in the face. Why? Bc he used this BS High School Wildcat crap to stomp the life out of me. (Yes, me personally).
The only good thing to come out of this loss is that my expectations have been reduced to 8 wins (at best) and I will probably lose 25 lbs because I REFUSE TO DRINK ANY MORE KOOL-AID.
Sleep was tough last night. I was so pumped up and then so let down.
The Dolphins deserved the game. Henne played very well and the fact that they now have a QB that can keep teams honest makes them very dangerous.
Winning in the NFL comes down to winning at home and splitting the games on the road. If you buy that, then all is not lost.
Someone told me early in the week that Miami Monday night is the toughest place to win because of the oppressive humidity and heat. The Jets were sweating before kickoff.
Late in the game the defense just looked gassed. Players were sitting on the turf instead of bouncing up. They just got plain knocked over by a team who wanted it, and deserved it, more.
Two weeks. Meadowlands. Home field. We’ll see.
I feel for you Rizzo, I hate the fish with all my sports heart. I feel so disgusted with how the defence played, they couldn’t stop a play that me and my friends used when we played tackle against other hoods because we didn’t have a QB. They got zero pressure on the qb using their basic 4 man rush and they didn’t get to him when they blized. Couldn’t stop the run, as they could not do all year. They were flat ! Where was the fire, the passion ? It’s the 5th game of the year and the swagger is already down to a wimper !!! It’s MNF against a hated division rival and you are Flat ? WTF, give me the pads, i would have more passion then they did last night !
yeah what’s up with the lame pass rush? completely impotent! I did see Bryan THomas making some plays behind the line of scrimmage which is nice. But Pace looked rusty and no-one else provided any pressure.
as for the running game, two things: we played a tough run defense but i think that spreading the ball around was a good idea. They gave the ball to every back and said “go get the tough yards” instead of giving up on the run, im sorry but that is how a running game get developed. Our O-line needs to play better in that sense. It’s so weird because last year they werent good at pass protection and this year that is their stronger point!
Everyone on that team (except for Braylon Edwards who played great) needs to look inside and realize that HYPE doesnt win games.
This team needs to stop talking and start playing football. That performance last night was terrible. They were out coached defensively.
All the players should keep going on twitter and saying how good they are. It really works.
Put up or shut up.
They got ahead of themselves at 3-0. Come back to earth and win a football game, I’m disgusted.
Save your energy for the field instead of dancing in the endzone before the game starts. WTF was that? The defensive backs made a little circle and were taking turns dancing just before the game started.
JOKE.
Bart Scott did not make a play last night.
Shaun Ellis and Bryan Thomas are just not good football players.
Did Kerry Rhodes blow the SS coverage on Ginn ?
No. Ginn flat out sprinted past everyone.
Could’ve been worse. The 1986 team went to Miami on a Monday night with a record of 10-1 and got steamrolled 45-3.
Kyle, Henne played for Michigan… not really a no-name school… was well regarded coming out of high school… enough to play in the Army All-American Bowl… was ehh in college… always had a penchant for releasing the ball low and bouncing it off the back of his oline’s heads or getting it batted down. However, was good enough to be taken in the 2nd round. Not really an out of the blue moment here.
While I was very sarcastic above and very disappointed because I bought into the Kool-Aid (when will I learn???), a more level headed type fan than I would point out they can still turn this around the next two weeks against inferior types and set themselves up for a playoff run.
Preseason, I said 3-2 would make me very happy so I have to stand by that, its just the way they have gotten there tears your heart out.
I never like the talking, the media loves this crap but in life this just creates bad karma. Rex’s dad never won a thing as a head coach, he should not try so hard to emulate him.
Rex does not have Ray Lewis, Suggs and Ed Reed, and Baltimore suddenly looks beatable without Scott (who seems to be trying to do TOO much, just be yourself), Leonhard and Douglass (although I am not sure what exactly he does anyway).
The some of the whole may just have been greater than the parts.
Edwards did have a great game providing hope for the future, but did anyone else notice his selfish idiotic pre game behavior, joking around during stretching with his uni top pull way up under his armpits.
Screaming out “me first” behavior, horrible first impression. “Look at me, I want attention!!!”
Great impression on the field, but his pre game behavior is a real red flag going forward.
If he cant buy into the team aspect of the game even before his first play, how is he going to act now that he is the toast of NY?
I was giving him the benefit of a doubt, a clean slate, but he already has one notch against him after one game. He is a jerk that will get into trouble sooner rather than later in this town.
I have fullfilled my rant quota, even a positive post went all negative, need antoher cup of coffee.
Go Jets!
Jason: I think we have two tickets for the Jags game. Email me at jopeters@optonline.net. I need to check with the my friend who manages the tickets but as of last week they were available.
I HATE gimmick plays and teams that over use them!!
The defense stunk! The only one who seemed to be playing on that side of the ball last night was Kris Jenkins. He is the only player on this defense I truly feel bad for after the embarrassing loss to Miami!
This was just sad!
srknyj40;
I dont think Bryan Thomas is a BAD player, he wasnt a force last year but i see him near a lot of running plays this year. He made a nice tackle for a loss on Ricky Williams in last night’s game.
As for Ellis, i cant hide that he is one of my favorite players, but he has been quiet so far this year. He needs a little help with a corner blitz or some different qb-rush packages. But he has been the most consistent and healthy defender on our team for like 8 years.
The point is that we have the personnel but where is the pressure we heard so much about? the blitzes and pressures need to start turning into SACKS and TACKLES FOR LOSSES. Jenkins needs to stand his ground for the running plays because teams run around him, you cant send him after the qb on every play, he gets gassed too.
Scheme needs to adjust which im sure Rex (unlike Mangini) will follow up on.
Wise old jet fan,
seems like youre searching for something to criticize Edwards for. He was excellent last night, and he opened up the running game which was very good against the leagues 2nd ranked run defense.
we better beat the bills sunday thats all i have to say! i am so pissed off COME ON JETS EARN your paychecks good god
I’m not ready to get too upset by that loss.
We played last year’s division winner at their place on Monday night against their most hated rival (us). They have the number one running offense. Everything was lined up for them and they were obviously far hungrier than our somewhat overconfident selves.
But we fought hard and damn near pulled out a win on the road on Monday night, a very, very difficult thing to do under any circumstances.
The D played pretty badly, but we still had a chance late in the 4th.
I don’t understand why you guys think it was such a disaster. You can’t just roll your helmets out and get a win in the NFL.
If you think we have ‘easy’ games the next few weeks, I’d say you don’t know s**t about the NFL. If you don’t show up hungry and prepared for ANY team in the NFL you _will_ lose. Period. For reference, see last night.
So, enough moping and crying. We got beat by a good football team at their place in what is probably their most important regular season game this year. Chalk up the loss, and move on. Every team loses sometimes. Try not to read too much into it folks.
