Lito Tells Press He’ll Play

Need some good news? CB Lito Sheppard has told the press Wednesday that he will be playing against Terrell Owens, Lee Evans and the rest of the Bills this weekend. “I will be out there on Sunday starting, at full strength. I’m ready to go.”
Buffalo might be wounded, but they still have some serious weapons at receiver. It’s good to know that Sheppard will be able to go and help limit some of the Bills best options at bay.

Music to my ears. Now when is Donald Strickland coming back? His intensity and ability to make big hits really elevates this defense. I like Lito, but Donald is my boy!!!!!
Lito will have a tough time against terrell owens the entire game. I expect him to give up at least a touchdown during a scoring drive. Revis will probably be matched against Lee Evans, Stevie Johnson (he beat revis last year for a touchdown), maybe Josh Reed if he is healthy. Derek Fine will be a good matchup for Scott or even Rhodes. It will be interesting if the jets continue their blitzing defense against the pillars of the buffalo bills’ offensive line. This is a tough game for the jets.
Oh sweet baby Jesus, what great news.
Why would they put Revis on Evans? Despite TO’s terrible start to the season (I don’t know Evans numbers but I’m sure they aren’t blowing TO’s out of the water here), he’s still their #1.
Lito will probably share the task of covering Evans with Lowery based on how 100% he really is and how he does in game.
With Sheppard back, the defense can once again completely attack the quarterback without doubt! Lowery could blossom to a fine CB one day, but
Lito is definitely a far better option to start.
The defense will once again have the ability to be considered #1. I firmly believe that when the secondary is fully healthy, the run defense will greatly improve and the number of Sacks & turnovers will significantly improve.
The loss to the Dolphins will only make the Jets D better, because now Rex learned his lesson when it comes to playing a team that does not have a top notch offense.
No games are a given, & I feel that the JETS will come back to full form on D with the emergence of Lito. Lets not forget that Pace will need a couple games to get back to full form, and when D. Strickland is healthy, this should by far be the best Pass Defense in the NFL!
This Secondary is amazing! Revis, Sheppard, Lowery, Strickland, Coleman, Rhodes, Leonard & Smith. All contribute!
What makes me nervous is the Bills power running game. Last year in the 2nd game they just jammed it down our throat alla the Dolphins last week. We just seem to struggle agains power running offenses.
I wouldn’t call wat Miami did running it down our throat cuz of all the options it is not what we will see from the bils. It should be a nicebounce back, they don’t throw to TO or Evans there players, there really is no excuse for beating this team by 3 tds. They scored 3 points against the BROWNS!
Row, forget numbers and depth charts. T.O. is probably the #1 on the chart, and may have better career numbers, and I don’t know Evans stats but they may be low right now — but that’s not how you match it up. T.O. is a big, strong guy who can run solid routes but doesn’t fly and can drop passes if he feels a big hit coming. Lito may be listed smaller than Revis but I think he is the better hitter, and he doesn’t have the speed and ability Revis has to stay with the speedier Evans one -on-one. You can shift the safeties toward TO that way, to help with tackling and avoid his ability to break tackles and YAC.
I think that’s the matchup, personally.

It’s always nice to hear from Mr. Sunshine. You’re lost. T.O. has been a complete disaster for Buffalo and their O-Line is pathetic. This isn’t a tough game at all, if it turns into one we’re in bad shape. It won’t.
Lito is faster than Revis , Lito is known for his speed and would probally be better suited to cover Evans more so than Owens
that’s to Sec 130’s comment
