More quotes from Ryan on losing on Monday night …
“It’s blunt force trauma. We accept that. We always say ‘You’ve got to have skin like an armadillo.’ We all know that’s not skin, but so what? We all know what it means. That’s what you have to have. Same thing on me, on the coaches, on each other. That’s just the reality of it.
“We never played well. Done. End of conversation. That’s in the past. We’re focusing on the future. Do I think we have a lot of ability? Can we play a lot better than that? Yes. We went the first four games giving up three touchdowns, but we did that in the fourth quarter alone [Monday night]. That’s it. It is what it is. There’s no way in heck I would’ve ever thought that would happen. I never knew it. That’s never happened to me before in my life. Again, that’s over with.
“I think the challenge in front of us is we’ve got to get better as a football team, whatever that means. Whether it’s running the football, protecting the quarterback, catching the pass, finding a way to get extra yards somewhere, special teams, defense. Whatever it is, we’ve got to find a way to get better. We haven’t been good enough the last two weeks.”
Rex Ryan is working with the team to try and get over the loss on Monday night. Ryan’s been more than clear that he wasn’t pleased with his or his team’s execution, but is he going a bit overboard with the self-flagellation? It’s in-line with everything we’ve seen from him so far, so I’m not sure how much there is to worry about.

I feel sorry for the Bills offense this week.

Jets still have a chance to go 7-2, 6-3 so I’m holding off my panic. We should lay waste to the Bills and Raiders, then we get our shot at redemption against the fins. It will say a lot about this team how it responds to two bad losses against a lesser opponent they’re expected to dominate.

When I read the Rex said that ‘this has never happened to me before,’ boy did I get a sick feeling in my stomach. I so much want to believe that the days of SOJ are over!

Actually is has happened before….Didnt the Ravens get punched in the face by the Giants last year while Rex was maning the defense? Just saying……

I am taking the loss for what it was a huge letdown against a team I think we are better than and was shocked Rex got outcoached by D Henning.
But its a road game and those are never easy to win. The way we lost was the real reason for my depression this week.
Fact is we were the bullies and we got punched in the teeth and now we have to rebound and get back to being nasty against the Bills.
If you guys think we felt bad after the MNF game just imagine how we are going to feel if this team does not respond on Sunday.
