I would welcome the Bills trying it on the Jets! Last year it was usually Chad lining up wide with at least 1 more WR on the field. This week they completely pulled Henne off the field essentially making the field 11 on 11. They also ran the formation for a ton of plays whereas last season you would have seen more personnel on the field because they wanted to catch you off guard with either the Wildcat or a standard look with Pennington at QB. There was no fooling this time. They will work on different things for the next matchup. My guess is you will see the DE's being asked to break off the line at the snap as they were often unblocked or simply picked up by the fullback. I think you will also see a much tighter defense. The Wildcat basically goes in 3 directions, most of which is their "power" up the gut. I thought that was where we got murdered because they overload blockers and our guys were too far outside. In some respects having all those extra linemen worked against us because they were all out of position for where Miami actually attacked. JesusRevis,

The Bills false started something like 10 times last week. Against the ex-Jets. Their offense is in a shambles and the cure for that is to learn a gimmick offense and run it in one of the loudest, most hostile stadiums they will play in all year against a pissed off team?

You need experienced lineman to execute the Wildcat, and the Bills don’t have them. And what do you think TO’s reaction would be if the Bills shifted even further away from their feeble passing attack? He’d probably start playing for the Jets half way through the game. The Bills, already under heavy fire, aren’t going to purposefully draw any more negative attention to themselves. No one on that offense is on the same page as anyone else, and adding the wildcat five games into the season isn’t going to help anyone get into synch. But let’s say that Jauron grasps for straws and tries it against the Jets. As pissed off as the Jets defense is right now, I think Scott and Company would shut it down with such violence that the cameras would have to pan away from the field during tackles. And how would that make Buffalo look? They bring a gimmick offense into the Jets home stadium and the Jets tear it apart like Dobermans. The tiny bit of respect that anyone has for the Bills would evaporate if Jauron tried to pull such a schmuck move.
