On if it was tough getting injured shortly after Braylon Edwards joined the Jets…
Yeah, it’s tough. The day I did it, that was all that was going through my mind. We brought in a key piece that can really open things up for our offense and for me to not be able to be out there full speed and helping this offense thrive, it was hard to deal with. The important thing right now is to make sure to take care of my body and get myself back to 100 percent, to make sure that I am taking all of the necessary steps I can to be able to go out there and help this team.
On how hard it is not to rush his return…
It’s hard for me. Everyday I wake up I am thinking about how hard can I work that day to get better as a player and to help this team win games. When I am not able to go out there and work hard with my teammates and get better with those guys, it’s hard for me to deal with. It’s very hard to sit on the sideline and see those guys go to work everyday and for me to not go out there and do anything.
On his improvement so far…
We have a great training staff. That is one thing about this group. We have some long days, but it is well worth it. Those guys do a great job with handling it.
