people worried about feely are rediculous, the man is an accurate kicker, and hes just a fiery guy who wants to win, what is wrong with emotion? stop worrying, watch the game, the injuries will be tough, have a little confidence though guys, the team can get it done, if you guys wanna really change a culture, change your own culture, stop waiting for the sh*t to happen, roll with the loss, and come back harder, even as fans it makes a difference, stop expecting the worst, the only thing separating jets fans from fans of other teams about as good as us, is we dont expect wins, and accept losing. living in philly, i know jets fans are just as rowdy and passionate as birds fans, but when the eagles lose, people get pissed yes, but they get back on their horse and come out expecting a win the next sunday, im wearing my green jones jersey and hat to the bar, and then to the flyers game immediately following the jets, i will be dressed as a jet all day because thats my confidence. and it dont matter what people say to me, because i know this team is good

no doubt..i agree the guys a huge talent ... but very hard to rely on or count on late in the season .. his game is big plays .... but he needs a lot of plays off too ... he adds nothing to the pass rush .. and we aint great on the run either.... they're better off not depending on him, having guys have to step up .. the different looks might actauly help the pass rush.

John, I've thought the same thing about Jenkins just never could bring myself to say it or type it here.

McFadden is out for Oak...

Can we hit JaMarcus Russell

John I agree with every one of your critical points about Jenkins, all of the reasons he was available, but there is no denying he was a force when on the field, often occupying multiple blockers, and will be very difficult to replace.

I hope Pouha has matured and can do the job, but from what I have seen in the past he is not close to Jenkins, and then there is the question of who gets the reps that Pouha used to get?

There was a fierce wind last week, supposed to be perfect today, not concerned with Feely in the least.

Persusing the stats, the one big advantage the Jets have is the running game, averaging 4.9 ypc vs. 3.3 for the Raiders.

Running defense (both ok, caveat? with Jenkins), passing offense (both suck), and passing defense (both ok, Jets slightly better offset by Raiders superior pass rush) are about equal.

Raider kicking/punter game better, Jets return and coverage teams better, offset.

Jets need to commit to running the damn ball, need to stop the run and not try to do too much in the passing game and they should prevail.

But if the Jenkins loss hurts as much as I suspect this could be a very tough game to win.

I have a terrible feeling about feely.

I was seated in between the two goalposts last week (but on the opposite side of the field) and:
His first kick sneaked inside the right post.
His second kick hit the right post and deflected inside for 3 points.
His third kick just barely missed the right post.

What I think Feely has to do:
Make mid-game adjustments.
Aim further to the left.
Correct his mistakes.
Use his head.

What I predict from him:
He'll miss at least two kicks today.

I agree with Johnny Hector: If this game is decided by a Feely field goal then this team is in really serious trouble.

And if we lose today--after the embarrassing loss to the Fins, and the REALLY EMBARRASSING loss to the Bills--well, it means that we suck. Big time.
