  1. Shonn Green looked like Mo Jo.

  2. What?! No mention of the hotdog incident in the highlights? I thought for sure by now Sanchez would have been fined by the NFL and suspended a couple games.

What exactly was wrong with him eating something on the sidelines? Can some one with knowledge of the NFL please let me know?

  3. Some would say lack of respect. Lack of focus. Immaturity.

He was eating because he has a stomach virus and was basically playing on an empty stomach.

  4. I think there should have been an article on this blog titled:

“We beat the Raiders!! So what!?”

What I took from that game, if not for Russell being arguably the worst QB in the league, we might have had our hands full. Our defense put us in the best possible position to win (the only thing they could have done better would have been to actually put the ball in the endzone), and once we shot up as a result of that, we pounded away on the run (against one of the worst run-defenses in the NFL).

I thought that when we asked Sanchez to do anything in that game, he looked terrible. How many times is he going to drop the football for no reason? Hold on to the ball, buddy!! How many times will he and Dustin be on totally different planets? Yea, when he was making all these terrible throws, we were up by a bout 28 points, so I wasn’t throwing my coffee table end-over-end….but in any other game? In any other game, we’d be subjected to an onslaught of “Bench-Chez” articles this morning. Sure, he connected with Clowney on a deep-bomb…which was underthrown and IMO should have been picked off. Thankfully, Clowney turned around and came back to the ball. Maybe that was great timing out of ‘Chez and awareness out of Clowney, but I think that it was luck.

Other than the aforementioned Clowney TD pass, I don’t remember seeing anything that made me feel good about Sanchez. I was stuck in traffic for the first half, so I listened to it on the radio, then I rewatched as much as I could bear on Tivo before watching it in real time.

Between Sanchez’s mediocre playing, the injuries (how many starters walked off the field? 4? 5?), I’m just not convinced that this is a team to beat.

See everyone at the Miami game. Hopefully, we won’t be their whipping boy after that nasty Saints game.

  5. Do people agree/disagree? I was hoping for Sanchez to come into this game and get his mind right with some great plays, but I didn’t see it. One or two nice ropes over the middle, but that was it.

  6. dave,

I think the only way he gets his mind right is to not be the focal point of the offense… I think the Clowney TD and the nice dump offs / short passes are exactly what he needs and should be considered great plays. I think with Shonn and TJ we can actually be as dominant as Miami is with the run. It could be fun to watch Sanchez develop in the background and have Shonn steal some of the spotlight. I think we will be better off that way.

  7. I wish Leon the speediest recovery possible and an awesome new contract when he’s better. I’m glad we’ve got Shonn Greene though, he looked pretty handy…
