TJB Radio Show: Today at 2!
Another week, back on the grind at the TJB Radio Show. Unfortunately, we tried to get a player this show but were unable due to scheduling, but we’re trying here for you. Still, we’ve got a lot to talk about.
Show Starts: 2:00 PM

Make sure you check in on BlogTalkRadio.com/TheJetsBlog or you can go directly to Thursday’s episode.
38-0 will buoy any team’s confidence, but the Jets face a much stiffer test this week than the sadsack Oakland Raiders. How will the team respond in it’s first game against a good team without Pro Bowlers Kris Jenkins and Leon Washington? That’s the question all Jets fans are wondering and we’ll talk that and more on this week’s edition of the TJB Radio show.

Its interesting to see some of the Jets defensive players crediting the missed tackles excuse for the Monday night loss against the dolphins. Their preparation was not there yes, but its all about will and finishing the game (playing all four quarters). This was something that Mangini stressed from his mantra (communication, focus, finish). I haven’t heard Rex shut up about the Monday night game. It affected the jets that much and it shows then why not correct it with a set of guidelines mentioned above. It sounds easy to do so why not get away from (we are going to get some payback) the emotional view which by itself very bleak and practice with a purpose to make themselves solid fundamentally? If the jets expect just to win hand-to-hand combat with the dolphins they will lose again. It only takes a semi-decent head coach to understand that and make the jets pay. You can’t rely on skill and talent alone at this level. The jets defenders who are speaking out this week about the missed tackles are those who make excuses and ultimately do not study enough and are not focused enough this year. (Ellis, Scott, Pace, Douglass, Sheppard, and Rhodes). It is a serious mistake. We don’t control the trenches on sunday this week. So Rex better have his team fundamentally (football basics) prepared to play the dolphins and not blame the missed tackles. Be honest if you did not execute your assignment either you were out of position and you should be benched or your opponent is that much more prepared and stronger than you.
