if we can bring smith back i think that will help our chances of winning drastically...i would really like to see cotch wait to come back after the bye week...but who knows maybe he is healed

Still not bad, Ed L.,

There's a lot to what you say.

I still don't want to see J-Co until he's, at least, 95% back. Same w/ Brad. Hammy's and Quad's are just plain powderkegs until they heal. They're not like bruises or strains, where they tell you that it may not be great, but you can't hurt it any worse, like many of Chad's injuries, as I recall (not the season-ending ones -- the others).

I dread seeing J-Co reaching down for that other gear on a YAC and seeing him drop to the ground like he's just been shot. He's still one YAC away from IR if he's not ready.

I dearly want him back, but not at the cost of the season.

totally agree with the above statement. With Dustin Keller getting covered really well, Sanchez and him have not developed that chemistry. Going to the run all the time would also cause the defense to come in and therefore cover a TE. However, I think we see that Clowney has potential, and is a potential deep threat. You throw him into the mix as a number three guy behind Edwards and Cotch, and you throw Keller into the mix, you got a passing game.

the deal with keller is simple....

cotch and smith are out.....two less defenses need to scheme against.....we have edwards who is getting double teams constantly and keller who is being taken out of the play....a good reason why clowney has been open so many times..defenses probably figure that out of the 3 receiving threats keller and edwards are the priority....as far as the beginning of the season goes i think keller and sanchez have not developed a chemistry yet and losing cotch and smith only delayed that chemistry being created....

no analysis to back that up but just a thought

Good question regarding Keller, has anyone gone to the tape and anazyzed?

I read somewhere he is not getting off the line, they are chucking him early and he has not been able to adjust, but I suspect he simply has been blocking as part of the power running game emphasis.

With Cotch sidelined would have expected him to get more looks lined up outside, but has not been the case.

Did Jenkins practice? I don't see him as needing to be particular mobile. Just drag him out there to the center of the line and force Miami to jump over him.
