Will Crowder Play?

Channing Crowder was sidelined for the second straight practice yesterday, and no one seems to know for sure whether or not he’ll play this weekend.

Crowder, the Miami Dolphins’ motor-mouth inside linebacker, missed his second straight practice Thursday because of a shoulder injury.

Palm Beach Post reporter Carlos Frias observed Crowder doing resistance drills with a trainer on the sideline while his teammates prepared for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets at the Meadowlands. Thompson projects Reggie Torbor as the replacement. Torbor started one game last year for Crowder. Torbor started the final five regular-season games and all four postseason games for the New York Giants when they won the Super Bowl.

If Crowder doesn’t play, it will make it that much easier for the Jets to run on this team. They’re really good at the linebacker level when it comes to shutting down the run, so for him not to be in the game would be a big plus for the Jets.

  1. I hope he is out because its always worse watching your team lose from the sidelines.

  2. Is this shoulder injury from when Leon layed his @$$ out?

  3. Scott – opeing his mouth for no reason….

Scott wants to make the Dolphins one-dimensional by leaving Henne seeing double.

“I want to hit him and get him out of there,” Scott told The New York Daily News. “That’s for anybody who touches the football, period. It’s that type of game. Write it down however you want to write it down.”

  4. i believe he is also the one who receives the audio of the play call and calls it out to the defense. take away their best CB and LB, and that defense becomes a lot weaker

  5. JR,

That was an unbelievable hit! Leon taught him to keep his mouth shut.

  6. I definately burst out laughing when I saw Leon lay the wood on Crowder.

I wish he was still around to do it again…

  7. I’ve said it before and I’m gonna say it again. I cant remember ever feeling this way about a player being injured. I’m really gonna miss Leon Wahsington out there, I really love this guy.
