Not to be a “what iffer,” but what’s going on with Hartsock and these penalties. I remember he was the one whose horrible holding penalty knocked us back about 30 yrds in the overtime loss to buffalo (taking us from the 5 yard line to about the 35) and this week he was also responsible for the 2 point conversion flop at the end of the game. This guy’s gotta get his head on straight at the end of the game!!

I’m not a Monday morning QB, in fact I’m usually the silver lining guy however, on our last drive we’re 3rd and 6 in obvious 4 down territory. I’m yelling at the TV run the ball, run the ball… and wham, we take a sack and have to throw a 20+ yard back of the end zone pass on our final play. I just didn’t get the call, or at least roll the QB out and let him option to run, pass or throw it away.

(et al). okay… its 2nd & 6 from the 8. time is no factor.
it’s not easy to pick up 6 yards on the ground from there. the lb’s and safeties only have to cover about 15 yards, they dont have to worry about guys getting behind them and will be clsoe to the line.
they were quite a few runs of 1 or no gain. runs that are a counter, toss or go wide that risk a loss are really out of the question there. there are decent odds that you’re looking at 3rd & 4 or 3rd & 3, meaning its likely you’ll still have to throw the ball at least once in the sequence.
and you have to make the call before you see the defense. you have 5 seconds.
the problem was the sack, on fanacea, and throwing the ball out of the end zone on 4th so no one even has a shot.
but so many others, lets fire the oc. yeah, ok.

Just when you think we have it figured out and we lose on Special Teams?
I would have bet the house that would have never have happened to us…ever!!
Just a big letdown here for this Jet fan…. not as depressed as usual but still a pretty miserable Monday morning.
