"The LB tandem of David Harris and Scott is fast becoming the best duo in the league. Harris, making a push for his first Pro Bowl, has a team-leading 76 tackles by coaches' breakdown, leads the Jets with 3.5 sacks and has a forced fumble and an interception.

The “Madbacker” has become an outspoken leader in his first year since coming over from the Ravens along with Douglas and Leonhard. Scott is second on the team with 59 tackles and leads the team with 6.5 tackles for loss/no gain."

Brendan:

This guy writes about Mangini that.." He simply took the respect and credit which the media and NFL establishment was so eager to give him. You can’t blame him for that, particularly when he has remained the same coach in Cleveland that he was in New York'

This guy Robinson has to be kidding, right? He has to be Joking or else he is delusional !!

And you give him credibility? This argument is closed! END OF STORY.

Fonzie,

Couple more things to add as I've seen you've crawled back in under your rock after I gave you an internet spanking for running your mouth.

What shatters your credibility is the fact that all your statements completely ignore anything positive the Jets do. Its always "Bart Scott has a big mouth and is a mediocre, at best ,linebacker" or "Sanchez vs the Dolphins was completely ineffective without the running game" (how that makes sense is beyond me but he actually said it).

You fail to acknowledge anything that happens to work out for the Jets. Its all bad, all the time. As a fan, I dont see how you can completely ignore the good part. This is why people question your fanship and sanity. Ive come to grips with the fact that you will never change, your attitude towards the Jets is heritability ingrained in you. But I come after you and others like you because like Brendan said, you are the kind of fans people think of when "SOJ" rears its ugly head. The doomsday, pessimistic wackos that think that this team is still drafting guys like Blair Thomas and Johnny L Jones.
You live in the past, longing for the gentler days of Eric Mangini. You know what, Eric Mangini is a soft, fat, wimp of a coach. He had one good year against a soft schedule. They snuck up on people and got a few breaks to wind up 10-6 instead of 6-10. Once people paid attention he was done. His methods and personality sealed his fate. He, like you, was as stubborn as they come. He did the worst thing a coach could ever do, he LOST HIS TEAM. Thats why he got fired. No media, no kool-aid drinking battered wife Jet fans like me, his team said "YOU SUCK AND WE AINT PLAYIN FOR U NO MO'" Get over it. He sucked, his new team sucks, and he aint going to make it another season in Cleveland.
If you like that go root for the Browns, no one here is stopping you. How bout the Fish? They are local for you and you seem to love to tell everyone on here how good they are. If not man up and get behind your team. Losses happen in football, you get knocked down, you get back up. You dont lay there, piss and moan, make excuses and point the finger. Stop talking about these guys like they are trained zoo animals. They are human and make mistakes. Bart Scott's sole purpose on this earth is not to say things that make Fonzie Hank/naples happy. But next time before you start with the same old jets stuff, just realize that the crap you perpetrate on here is exactly what people are talking about with regards to SOJ. I cant blame you for the results on the field, but the stigma regarding Jet fans has been tarnished by guys like you, not the guys who hope against hope but are willing to take the heartache and ridicule of SOJ, because they want to see them win that badly.

But since you seem incapable of self-evaluation or humility, this post was probably a waste of time but it did feel good to get that out

Agree to disagree WOJF. I respect what you're saying, I just have a different opinion on how I would take that. I think that 15-20 number was completely off the top of his head. I don't think he's calling out any other units of the team.

He's not a dumb guy, he's actually quite intelligent and he knows that alienating his teammates, effectively losing their support, would destroy the team. He's know he is a leader for the team and I think he was just trying to get everyone to stop the violins for a moment and realize that their complaining and doom-and-gloom mindsets prevent the organization from turning a corner. We need everyone on board, even Hank & Fonzie.

Oh and speaking of the dynamic duo of dribble, read this article on your wonderboy Mangini:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AuVQxrqHuZv2S8j.UEywxe85nYcB?slug=cr-brownslerner110509&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Seems us "wagoneers" aren't the only ones who think like this. And Charles Robinson is about as unbiased and solid in reporting the NFL as anyone, so don't use your media crutch this time, Hank.

Not to go all crazy over this but I maintain that, as a player in the locker room, that quote would piss me off.

He essentially is saying that only about 10-15 players believe they can win (and I think he means the defense) then he essentially calling the other players losers.

I would be getting tired of his mouth if I was lucky enough to be playing for this team ,especially if I were Faneca or Jones or Woody, who know a little something about winning in the NFL.

I would tell him, and Kerry Rhodes, to shut up and play football.

Fonzie,

Don't you ever get tired of complaining? Now i'm sure you're going to tell me that you are tired of seeing the Jets lose, which we all are. But how can you explain your attitude having any sort of positive effect on anything? Does it make you feel better to bash the players, coaching staff, front office etc. ? I feel the pain too man, I hate seeing the Jets lose and I would do anything to see this team win a super bowl. But i'm also patient, and I also understand that these things take time, and trial and error. You have to take the bad with the good and vice versa. All i'm saying is, everyone here (for the most part) has the same intentions, we all want the Jets to be successful and that is our common goal. But for you to continuously criticize the players and the coaches and even us, the fans, is offensive to a lot of us. I can't stop you from voicing your opinion or change it for that matter, but atleast understand that you are not helping anyone by being so negative and pessimistic.

Fonzie,

No, I did not just say there is no class in football. I said that this isn't a "gentleman's game" and I don't want choirboys, but I never said there's no class in the game. I also don't consider you part of football, nor do I consider myself part of it. A fan of it, yes, but we're not involved in the sport itself. So, yes, I have the "gall" to mention class when you compare fans of a sporting team to women who have a legitimate mental condition that revolves around them being physically assaulted by men. Sorry I'm so out of line to even bring up class when you do something like that.

As for fanship, yes I've read some of the comments. There are some great, great Jets fans that post here. And I'm not only referring to the ones I agree with. I disagree with more people than I agree with on this blog, but it's in an intelligent debate where both sides make at least a few solid points.

You're questioning me on fanship? Have you ever written a positive post on here? Or is it all "SOJ" this and "______ sucks" that? You shouldn't be a fan of something so you can solely rip into it and complain and whine about it on a daily basis. Fans such as yourself that constantly criticize and degrade it's own team are the reason "SOJ" still even gets talked about.

I'm not saying you can't be critical of your own teams. Hell, I'm a Mets, Knicks & Rangers fan. Being critical is in the job of being fans of those teams (Jets, too), but there's a difference between purposely critical, and being critical just for the sake of being negative.
