another loss by a sloppy team. ryan is losing his image as a defensive guru .will he be there next year ?
jets are definitely in trouble with no light down the tunnel. incompetency is the word when describing this team. does woody and mike know what there doing? bradway had better talent.

Couldn't agree more that Sanchez lost his mojo after the Saints game. Holding on to the football (sorry no handle), seeing the field and accurate passing all became issues. We can only hope Mark is the QB we saw early on and not the dejected rookie we saw on the bench in the Bills game. If not, 8-8 is wishful thinking no matter what the D does.

I'm a big Rex fan (wanted him over Cowher), but he has to get better with the clock, timeouts and deciding when to throw the flag. He's right about no more excuses and kicking butt, but wrong if worrying too much about the fans. The players are making the big bucks and if they're as talented as they think, just win the damn game! When it comes down to it, they're the only ones who can.

Good point on Feely.

On the balance of the season -- we are a total mystery. We can beat anybody and lose to anybody. rookie QB's can look great against us and superstars can get shut out by us. We go into the Dolphin game worried about the running game and get beat on special teams. What else can happen.

I am worried about the second half. It bothers me because we have the talent to be a playoff team. I worry about the Offensive. D Woody is hurting. He is so important to our running game. Sanchez is in learning mode. He lost his mojo, after the Saints game, and I have seen him throw so many bad passes -- he is not impressing me. At this point, he is scaring me. At times, I have called for Ainge. I hate Schottenheimer. His use of our offensive weapons is sickening. His play calling wastes drive after drive. When we had the ball on the Fish twelve yard line and couldn't win the game... You all may disagree with me but, if we let Callahan run the Offense and give Ainge his opportunity -- I think we could be a playoff team. With the status quo, expect more of the same.

Oh man, I just watched the replays again. It's worse than I thought. ON NFL.com's Ginn highlights, the first one in slow-mo from behind shows Feely on the 30 yard line pinching. If he stays back, Strickland gets him from behind.

On the second one, Feely is on the 16 yard line, when Ginn is making his stutter steps. The 16 yard line!! He goes right past Ginn, can't put on the brakes. Why? Because he is a kicker who should not be getting into the play. He can only get in the way, and his best spot is the 50, where once again Strickland could have caught him.

Once is forgivable. The same thing next kickoff, pinching even further, is a joke.

Now that you mention it -- at the beginning of this post you say Jay Feely never even got a chance to play defender on Ginn. I know you are being somewhat facetious, but does anyone remember who got the tackle on the first Jets kickoff of the game, after Feely's FG made it 3-0? Yes, it was Jay Feely who tackled Ginn at the 25 yard line.

My father turns to me and says: "Jay Feely got that tackle? Shouldn't he be playing safety back at the 50 just in case?"

Sure enough, after that, both times Ginn broke thru the crowd of 10 tacklers, Jay Feely was caught bottled up inside the 40 and was nowhere near the play, when he should be at least back at the 50 trying to slow Ginn down so he can be caught from behind.

Both times.
