After watching this tape I realized how awful our pass rush is. We are getting no production from our OLB's or DE's and until we do teams are gonna be able to throw all over us. There is no reason why David Garrard should have that much pocket with a defense as good as ours. Its disappointing because this team has so much talent, I just don't think they're all hungry.

Brendan,

I know I am using Rhodes as a scapegoat in my comments but the guy has been a huge disappointment this season. I think youre spot on for saying he needs to speak with his play and not his mouth but look at the job that Leonhard and Rhodes have done so far and compare the two.

Whomever is calling for Ryan to get fired is an idiot, look at the situation in Washington and see how the constant change has affected the franchise.

Honestly I thin the 3-0 start raised everyones expectation level to an obscene high. Now that the team is showing inconsistencies everyone is looking for a head to put on the block. I think cabras is right when he says: "W’s cure all!" Once the team starts winning the fires will be put out.

wow that dropped 2 point conversion was absolutely huge. i did not have a good view of it at the stadium but realize now after watching the replay. edwards should not have jumped for that ball. it was eye level. he should have caught the ball with his hands and immediately fallen to the ground. i have no idea why he chose to jump so high to catch a ball that was 5 feet off the ground.

that being said, sanchez could have made a better pass

A large percentage of Jets (and Mets) fans just want to be carbon copies of Joe Beningo.

It really bothers me to bash the Phillies and Pats for their awful fans and then to take a look around me and realize the bipolar mess of a fanbase we have here. I mean, I think that we by far have a more dedicated fanbase in that we do stick through it, thick and thin.

However, it seems like that constant dedication and passion has transformed New York fans into a venomous beast that needs to take its sedatives or else hell will certainly break loose... And unfortunately, it's usually the trainer with the needed drugs that gets eaten alive.

It's like the screaming for Cowher. Cowher would've never lasted 15 seasons here and had a chance to win a Super Bowl in his 14th season as a Head Coach. Looking at his record, they would've wanted him out of here by year 8 after he'd loss some big home playoff games and had had three straight non playoff seasons.

It's like Jets fans can't wait to complain and get someone removed, only to bring in the new guy and do the same thing. Calm down people, Rex may have been around football his entire life, but he doesn't have the experience as a HC so give him, oh I don't know, a full season before we call for his head (I'm also being sarcastic in that statement, HC's need more than just one season to show who they really are, and this goes for HC's that perform incredibly their first year, or poorly).

Brendan,

Exactly, if you can build a base of quality players, over time we can get to the next level, but when you trade away quality because a new coach does not think the guy fits in his system you become.........The Jets.

"every couple of years a new guy comes in and brings “his” guys, the teams that are always good have a stable front office."

I wish I could print these out as posters and mail them to everyone calling for Rex's head right now. We are NINE games into his head-coaching career, and already fans are calling for the axe. It's mind boggling, really. Let the guy build the franchise to his liking and in a few years see where the dust settles.
