Link: David Garrard Spotted It
David Garrard confirmed that the Marcedes Lewis catch was something the Jaguars saw happening, and something they were keyed in enough on to leverage.
They also got the win because of some Jet miscommunications. Two plays before Jones-Drew took his knee, Leonhard attempted to switch a coverage and it led to a big pass. Jaguars quarterback David Garrard saw confusion between Leonhard and Kerry Rhodes and quickly hit tight end Marcedes Lewis for 33 yards.
“I think they were a little confused, I saw both safeties talking to each other before the snap,” said Garrard. “I knew where Marcedes was gonna be, so I tried to get to him as fast as possible and he made a great catch.”
Lewis’ catch put the Jaguars on the 14-yard line with two minutes to play.
“I was trying to get the coverage changed, but it was too late,” Leonhard said. “It’s on me. We can’t allow a big play like that. It kills you.”
It’s live by the sword and die by the sword. It was bad timing for such a play and an audible, but Ryan and Scott explained this summer that this defense is based on interchangeability, and this sort of thing can work out well sometimes, or as we saw yesterday cause some serious holes for an adept quarterback.

First casualty of the loss yesterday??
^^^ You have to blame the secondary coach more than the DL coach. The secondary minus Revis has been below average.

Also check out the post above from 5:28 that confirms the real reason Batman was cut. I figured when Rex was being evasive it meant off the field issues were reasons for his departure.
And Ronnie- it is hard to blame the DL coach without him having Jenkins but who knows it may have been more of a scheme/strategy difference.
Mel, the link you posted to you says when carroll, a player was cut. Not why this coach quit.
I posted two links- first one is about coach, second one about Carroll.
Rex needs to start cleaning house. Both Safeties basically SxxK. With Leonhard out Rex needs to read the riot act to Rhodes or bench him.
Gholston should start at one DE and Westerman and Murrell need to see action at LB.
how about Gholston start by returning the money he stole from us…he can care less and his play shows it. This guy took the money and ran…typical of Ohio!!!
