I’m sick of people covering b/c Sanchez is a rookie. The Jets are in the NFL last time I checked. Also, he’s getting paid like a pro. Sick of the excuses.

There are plenty of soldiers younger younger than him fighting and dying overseas, so dont tell me it is too much to expect him to get this part of his job right.

As Rex would say, boo hoo hoo.

It is simple, he is being paid a ton of money, and part of his job description is dealing with the media.

I personally dont give a schott about the media, but the fact is it is his job to deal with them, a fact he acknowledged the day of his signing, even bragging that coming from USC he could handle the spotlight.

Time to grow up.

It was just odd and that scares me that he thought he could get away with that in NY. Alot of things are blown out of proportion but that is exactly why you can’t do something so stupid. And stop saying how “great” guys were after a loss. It drives me nuts. I think he will be good someday but it will take some time.

I could also understand guys being PISSED after losing a game like that and just wanting to get the hell out of there…

but in NY its crazy to ever think you are going to win vs the media. They LOVED Rex Ryan and now he is the biggest oaf on Earth.

I understand why he was like that but I hope someone tells him he is fighting a battle he cant win

come on, give the guy a break. he was angry about the loss, his mistakes, the embarrassment. i give him credit for being a bit of a smart a$$ about the whole situation. he clearly is a young guy who accepts responsibility for the losses, knows that he is getting BETTER this season, and desperately wants this TEAM to be successful. that is exactly what you want from your 23-year-old franchise QB. Chad’s “it-is-not-a-right-it-is-a-privilege” speech was embarrassing and immature. if anything it shows even more poise by sanchez. he took control of that media room and issued a statement, instead of subjecting himself to the same old questions that everyone already knows the answers to.

Totally agree with you Joe B. And I was disgusted when Chad pulled his bogus media move. It’s part of the package – especially in NYC. You get paid more in many cases b/c you have to put up with more. I don’t know Cmini or Cannizzaro, but they must have almost sprained a cornea rolling their eyes at Sanchez…l love the kid, just a stupid media gaffe. Earn your stripes in this town before pulling crap like that…same goes for Scott after his “how dare you” speech…All that being said, we’re really not out of this yet, so let’s go beat the Pats AGAIN on Sunday.
