Take a Tour, Get Some Tickets
Want to tour the new stadium and some free tickets to boot? Yesterday, I along with many of you, got an email with an invitation. It’s a move right out of the “time-share handbook” but a commendable one by the Jets sales team as they try and drum up interest in the new stadium for next fall. Commenter T-Money wrote me an email about it saying “I’m not sure how many people they invited or how many they expect will respond, but they must have a lot of tickets left for this season if they can offer that up.”
You’re right T … maybe that’s the secret to how so many of those games have sold out and won’t be blacked out for the Jets. Has anyone taken the tour of the new building yet? See the full invite after the jump …

This looks like a page right out the “Cash for Clukers” stimulus package.
Saw the new stadium and its unbelieveable. Sponsors by the Jet Tickets, so the games will never be blacked out.
As someone who can’t generally afford to go to football games (25 years old, on my first job out of college) I seriously considered RSVPing and doing it for some free tickets. If I lived in the NY area I’d probably do it; how hard can it be to tour the facility and feign interest?
Did anyone else get a phone call, cause I definitely got one as well.
I am not renewing tickets next season. I refuse to pay $95 for the worst seats in the house while choking down this “its your stadium!” garbage from Woody and the Tisch Family. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and makes me happy that they can’t sell the place out. Serves them right.
Is it just me or does this sound like one of those commercial time-share deals. “Come down for the tour and receive complimentary free game tickets”
Does anyone here remember that South Park episode Ass-pen?? lol
What is the deal with this?
Ive said before I dont really like Woody but being that he doesnt pretend to know anything about football and lets the HC do is job like he did with Herm, Mangini and now Rex, I kind of keep him out of site out of mind.
This is just kind of cheesy though…
I also received this invitation. Why don’t they give a range of dates when tours will occur or do they plan to give every person who RSVPs their own private tour at that person’s convenience?
In order to secure your private tour you must submit recent credit check, 2 recent paystubs, last 2 years w-2 and 3 months bank statements.
I got a phone call too and I live in SW Florida. I don’t know how they got my phone# and neither did he. He then asked me for phone #s of friends and family to invite them. I’m a car dealer and I felt violated. Lol
A car dealer that felt violated? Wow, the JETS have sunk to an all time low :)
Please keep ticket prices as is (2009). For those of us fortunate to have jobs, we won’t see cost of living pay increases. The JETS season ticket prices of $95 are simply an insult to the devout fan. And their performance is akin to lubricating a shaft so it goes in quicker. The problem is that the pain hurts more now than ever. Woody, are you listening? If not, you will soon regret agreeing to get a new stadium.
Belvey are you serious? That is a lot of information for a tour….
