Rivals change from decade to decade. Take the Mets, for instance. Years ago, it was the Braves who were our most hated rivals (it was also the Braves who won the most penants). Now, though, it's indisputable: the Mets most hated rivals are the Phillies.

I used to hate the Braves. Now I almost feel sorry for them. But the Phillies? I want them to lose every game they play--I wanted the Yankees to sweep them in the WS this year.

Same with the Jets. I used to hate the Fins the way I hated the Braves. Now I hate the Pats the way I hate the Phillies--I want the Pats to lose every game they play. And in the Pats/Giants SB, I went buts cheering for the G-men, and I am not a Giants fan.

All of which is to say, rivalries heat up and cool down. I've been a Jets fan long enough to remember when the Bills were IT in our devision, and we hated them most of all. Now I almost feel sorry for Buffalo. . .

Three teams you couldn't pay me to root for: Dolphins; Flyers; Braves. Like a bull seeing red - the mere sight of their colors sends me into a rage... I actually rooted for New England to beat the Rams in the Super Bowl (Martz was such an arrogant d-bag, I wanted to see him go down; plus N.E. was the underdog back then). Of course, my favorite Super Bowl moment ever (having been born in '71) was watching the Pats lose their bid for a perfect season and the NY Post running photos of people in starving African nations wearing the 19-0 shirts that had already been printed up.

The Jets biggest rival is Miami. The best place to watch a Jets Fins game is at Miami. No fans are so severly affected by the J-E-T-S chant as Dolfans...they hate it with a passion.

i hate the dolphins, and theyre 10000 fans from nj at every game in the meadowlands, but sitting in 337, we ALWAYS sit next to the visiting teams section, i saw more jags fans last week in jersey than i ever saw in jacksonville. so i hate every team the same on sundays because i wanna win so bad sitting next to a bunch of idiots doing a J-A-G-S JAGS JAGS JAGS chant, get a life. but anyways, my list from most hated on down. 1.)Dolphins 2.)Patriots 3.)Steelers 4.)Raiders 5.)Buffalo (I guess, like to make fun of people from buffalo so we'll go with it.)

I am 30 and while I detest the Dolphins and their fans, there is no ther team I'd rather see die in a fiery crash then the Patriots. Funny thing is my hatred for them didn start until after they won their first stolenbowl. Why couldn't have mo Lewis just left good enough alone and let bledsoe run outbounds!!!

For anyone who has been a fan prior to Bilichek taking over the Pats and Brady's golden boy beginnings, the answer has to be MIAMI.

It stretches all the way back to the 70s, as they were the team to beat in the division, then came the Richard Todd-AJ Duhe disaster, the Kenny'O-Marino shoot out, the fake spike, half the Miami fan base comprised of ex-NYers, the Monday night miracle...

No comparison. MIAMI throughout the years has been our biggest rival. The Pats only over in this era and if the Colts were still in the AFC, I would actually have put them before the Pats. Super Bowl III, those Joe Willie days were we used to cringe watching him get hit by Bubba Jones, Bert Jones scortching the Jets, beating Peyton Manning in the early days, the 41-0 playoff win in the Meadowlands when the Penny led the Jets from the brink of being counted out of the playoffs and no season ticket holders even bought playoff tickets because nobody believed in them...

40 years with Miami vs everyday with the Pats since Mo Lewis nearly killed Drew Bledsoe...
