Final Score: Patriots 31 – Jets 14

And they stayed out there, waiting to be made, Mr. Rhodes.

  • The team rallied around their emotional coach this week. On Tuesday, spending extra time at the facility, working extra hard to put together a game. What followed at Gillette was a miserable example of what all emotion and no vision can lead to. These teams were heading in opposite directions at the beginning of this week, and the Jets provided no reason to doubt that.
  • People will talk about Moss, but the bottom line is that Revis had a solid game against Moss. People will talk about the TD, but his longest catch of the game was for 13 yards (going into the 4th). Brady went to Welker all game and it worked, that alone was indictment enough that Revis was shutting down Moss.
  • There’s been questions about Kerry Rhodes so far this season, and was exposed in this game. He was run over repeatedly, he missed tackles, he played bad in coverage. I don’t recall him ever once using his arms once to make a form tackle, or if he did, he was run over in the process.
  • I don’t know what Sanchez is seeing out there, but for all the reasons that the Jets weren’t competitive in this game were the reasons that they were in the previous one. Sanchez managed the game in Week 2, and he was unable to do it here and his mistakes were a huge reason that the team was in a hole so early.

There’s a lot of questions about how to go forward, we’ll see what the players say and get back to you.

  1. I cant wait to hear all the wonderful silver linings from todays game. And then i want to hear about the very bright future.

  2. Sanchez is soooooo bad. It’s almost laughable. I don’t know what he seeing, his decision making is nothing short of pathetic. He continues to show week in and week out that he cannot make NFL adjustments. He has yet to learn for one of the MANY mistakes. Triple coverage, man to man reads, ball protection, wr lockdown…. Unreal I know he’s a rookie and all, but he is playing way below the rookie norm. He needs to seat the rest of the year. He is not ready. He may be our future QB. But, he is no way near ready for the NFL level.

B.T.W: Everyone in the NFL has talent. It’s a matter of improving week to week and learning from your mistakes. All which Sanchez has yet to show

  3. I feel bad for Revis, S. Ellis and T. Jones who shouldn’t be losing games because of a Rookie QB.

Braylon Edwards, Kerry Rhodes, Mark Sanchez, Larry Izzo and E. Coleman deserve big F’s for today’s game.

  4. It’s clear at this point, Sanchez is not an NFL quarterback. We all like to say, “Oh, he’s a rookie. These are rookie mistakes.” Yeah, fine. But he hasn’t learned a thing since the first game. Well, wait — he didn’t throw any chop blocks after his interceptions this time. What progress… And from his demeanor, he strikes me as the type of person who won’t own up to a single interception/fumble out there. He’ll tell the media all about how it’s his fault, but he’ll be thinking about how everyone but him caused those interceptions and fumbles. The guy is a pretty boy joke who somehow thinks he can keep getting away with throwing five picks a game. Something tells me the NFL isn’t going to support his fantasy… I hope he can pound shingles better than throwing passes, because this guy is playing his way directly to a roof near you.

  5. The 1st interception in the 1st half ruined the 1st half, the 1st interception of the 2nd half ended the game for us.

  6. I mean its the same old Jets year after year… From Groh to the current regime, Run the 1st two downs and then set up a 3rd and long …I wonder what the play will be in 3rd down? I really do not blame Rex Ryan for any of this, but hes a great defensive mastermind and an emotional leader theres alot more to the makeup of a coach than that. There was no cohesive gameplan, and it just makes me sick watching their continuous inability to stop the run, how many years have we been allowing them to run it down out throats? Rhodes as a free safety is just pathetic for gods sake someone strip that captain tag off his jersey hes a joke. As for Mr. Sanchez he needs someone to grab him to the side and ask him what are you throwing to? Your behind one of the strongest o lines in the game and yet your airing it out and jets fans were jumping on brett for doing that … brett was injured , but when your so predictable on offense what do you expect… its just sickening The Jets have given me too many ulcers through the years

  7. RE : spent, thank you. agree 100 percent

  8. Horrible game by rex and sanchez…. whos covering welker?????

  9. @Ronnie – Totally agree about Larry Izzo. That guy is freakin’ garbage. That being said, Sanchez was horrendously bad today. Whatever. He’s a rookie. What’s Kerry Rhodes’ excuse? Good point Basset, mentioning his like of arm tackling. One play he had Welker lined up for a tackle and instead tried to hit him like a defenseman in ice hockey lines up a forward for an open ice hit. Needlessly to say Welker bounced off him for another five yards.

  10. Kerry Rhodes- Got ran over all night, need to consider 2010 replacement

Bart Scott – all bark, no bite, over paid

Brain Thomas- is he on the team?

Sanchez- maybe 2010, he shoudl have been pulled out of game today

Good game by Pohua, DiVito and Pro Bowler Harris

  11. Sanchez played like crap. We all know it but IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. He is a rookie (not an excuse – ask Peyton, Eli, or Aikman) and he does show signs of potential (J-Co, a couple throws to Keller, GAMES VS. MIAMI (TWICE), TENNESSE, HOUSTON, PATRIOTS (FIRST TIME)). He is a rookie and this is going to happen whether we like it or not. BENCHING HIM WILL ACCOMPLISH NOTHING. On the bench he will not get enough experience as in the game and the season is shot, so why not just try and improve him? We all need to relax.

  12. Sanchez needs to ride the bench until mid-way through next season. He has had his chance and he blew it. Let him come up through the ranks like every other good QB. What a waste of money and draft picks. But, in a way, I guess he is the perfect quarterback for this franchise — overpaid, over-hyped, over-rated — and a weekly disappointment. Douche.

  13. What the hell is wrong with you guys?Organized Chaos is the only one who makes sense so far

  14. I have a Stiched Authentic Kerry Rhodes jersey for sale i’ll never wear it again let me know if your interested

  15. Organized Chaos: He needs to be benched and it will do him some good. Take that interception he threw when he was draped with two or three Patriot defenders. He just threw it up, totally irresponsible, totally idiotic. He needs to sit the bench and when Kellen Clemens gets injured or retires, then Sanchez can try his hand again. The kid needs to realize that every pass is important. He doesn’t care right now because he seems to think he is the anointed. Well, guess what douche knocker, the other guys on the team don’t want to play their butts off and watch you throw the games away. Welcome to the fan section. Maybe you can get an autograph from some real NFL players.

  16. at least on the bench he will eat another hot dog, there is no discipline or accountability in that locker room. I mean wheres the fundamentals numerous missed tackles and the missed tackle on third down finished us, edelmans catch

  17. Why does this happen after every loss? I hate to say it but give NE a little credit. There aren’t a lot of qb’s who could do a lot with the pressure he was under

  18. I agree jadden WAY too much overreacting here. The Pats are a good team. Sanchez is a rookie. D shut them down in second half when the Pats didn’t have a short field. Even special teams played well today. This team wasn’t going to do much this year anyway but at least Rex showed he could make in game adjustments re Welker. And Revis showed Moss who the best corner in the NFL is.

  19. Never should have drafted Sanchez…might as well have seen what we had in clemens before we gave away our entire draft for this guy. Im not saying he wont be good, but Clemens probably has just as good a chance to be good as Sanchez does. Yes Kerry Rhodes is incredibly overrated…its pretty funny we were hoping Rex Ryan would turn him into Ed Reed.

  20. Sanchez was matched up with a veteran QB in training camp, clearly outplayed him in training camp and pre-season. That sounds like he “came up through the ranks.” Then he started started the year 3-0. I didn’t hear anyone complaining then. You really think this team would be 8-2 with Kellen Clemens??????? Give me a break. Even if Sanchez had been perfect today, they still would have lost because of Mr. Overpaid Bart Scott and Mr. Overpaid LOL Kerry Rhodes.

  21. the Jets will never win a superbowl

  22. Hey. I’ve been a fan since 1981and I’m all in with my team. I will give Rex and Sanchez their opportunity to learn through their rookie seasons. I hate to lose as much as the next guy, but I’m realistic. Rex Ryan’s career is not over, it’s just getting started….ditto for Mark Sanchez. Most loser NY fans don’t have the patience to wait at all. Too bad we have a salary cap or maybe we could sign more superstars like the Yankees (I’m a fan). NY Knicks fans (I’m also a fan) want Iverson and can’t wait for Donnie Walsh to develop that team even though nobody thought they would ever get under the salary cap. Mangini’s record was 10-6, 4-12 and 9-7 with the Jets yet he got run out of town. In the NFL, some continuity goes a long way, but we want a championship so bad, we crap all over who ever just gets started running our team. It’s sickening to me that we are so cut throat.

  23. Giles…if Sanchez was just decent they could have won this game. He didnt need to be perfect. They had chance after chance to get back into the game. As bad a Rhodes and Scott( i didnt think had sucha bad game today he hit brady a few times), were the defense played well considering how much they were on the feild.

  24. Maybe Rex will cry again and the team will be ready to run through walls again…oh wait….

  25. Rookie Coach…Rookie Head Coach….get over it fans. This season was about next year no matter how you felt after 3-0

  26. Seeking a new name and finally found one.

BIG picture, Mr. T put this mess togethar, needs to take the hit.

Sure, Lil Schott deserves a ton of blame for putting Sanchez in this position ( I have not read a single comment but assuming we are on the same page), wt export was he thinking, and Sanchez is scaring the shott out of me, and Rhodes is worse than useless, but this is Mr. T’s team.

He gave away TWO proven NFL QB’s for NOTHING and this is the result.

We are stuck with Tex and Mex for better or worse, so nothing left to do but rebuild the front office.

This of course, would require an owner that gives an export. For once, the lack of PSL sales might actually help us here, what better way to re-invent this crap than to bring in a legitamate NFL winning HC?

Woody, do you have any balls?

  27. Overreacting!? this was our season right here, we came up lame, jets fans need to wake up… we shut down their powerful offense in the 2nd half and yet we gave them the damn game… seasons over once again , three heartbreaking losses back to back… as for benching sanchez yeah why not? hes been horrible lately. Give him some time to clear his head he is our future.

  28. RE: sanchez– you all would have thrown Manning (both) out at this point too– please relax

Re: rhodes– all of you who were mocking me for wanting to upgrade, bittersweet vindication. This D is set up for a playmaking safety. Thought we had one, now we need one!!

  29. Anyone saying that Sanchez will or should be benched is hallucinating. Once the Jets made the commitment to him, they made it to him FOR GOOD. Clemens isn’t playing without an injury this year, sorry to break it to you.

Another week, another bunch of awful, disinterested plays from #25. STOP TRYING TO TACKLE PEOPLE WITH ONE SHOULDER YOU FREAKING MORON. He’s worse than useless, and the rest of the secondary (save Relle of course) isn’t much better.

We also need another pass rusher ASAP. Ellis and Pace are the only two who EVER can get to the quarterback, and they don’t do it nearly often enough.

The honeymoon is over with Braylon too. I like the guy and still want him re-signed, but this is the guy the Browns were dying to get rid of.

All I’ll say is precious few guys earned their paychecks today. The game was there to be had at 24-14 starting from the 48, and they pissed it away. Disgusting.

  30. I brought this up earlier in the week of matching up Revis on Welker and double team Moss.
Moss will make the big plays but Welker makes their offense go.

  31. Giles — fine. I don’t care if it is Clemens, Ainge, or Johnny Towlbowl. Someone else deserves a chance. Sanchez blew his. He needs to go to the back of the line and wait. I’m not talking about throwing him out of the NFL. He just needs to go to the woodshed for a few seasons.

  32. Absolutely hysterical

  33. I hope we draft Eric Berry this year to replace Rhodes next year.I’ve had it with Hollywood

  34. I didn’t catch the game, but I saw Rhodes in a new Axe perfume commercial. He is so HOT! Supposedly he likes to finger guys. I’m stoked!

  35. This season is Al Groh all over again.

And Sanchez is looking awfully like Browning Nagle, its not that he is making bad reads, it appears he has no clue where the ball is going. Scatter armed was not part of any scouting report I read, but I bet it is now.

He’s not even close on a lot of these throws.

  36. Giles, your either brainwashed or retarded. Did Clemens ever throw a 5 interception game? Or have 3 + interceptions every other week? Clemens didn’t even have an offensive line when he was starter. Why not give him a chance?Sanchez is still young, sitting him will not mean the end of his career. I’m so tired of that b.s. A lot of great qbs sat the bench for a share amount of time. He is not ready, don’t defend him. He’s play has been way beyond the rookie norm, if you don’t think so your crazy. When he breaks the most amount of interceptions for a single season will you answer with the same ignorant response. ” he is a rookie”… He is talented, he is just not ready

  37. Great game. Jets are a public humiliation. Going to work on Mondays is embarassing.

Rhodes is the biggest loser on the team. I hate him with such passion that words do it no just. He’s the biggest piece of garbage on the team.

Sanchez stinks. He’s poop, and because if this, the Jets are too. Another season lost.

  38. I can think of 50 million reasons not to bench Sanchez over Clemens.

  39. Crazy jetsfan is content with continuous sub 500 years and he loves drinking the Mr. T bathwater… It looks like the jets are waiting to loose rather than having the swagger to come back, 2 completions along with 2 ints merits a benching in my book but the bigger issue here is that numbskull lil schott he needs to go along with Mr.T , take kerry rhodes and his glamourous lifestyle with you.

  40. Rhodes=all talk no action. He had pleanty of chances oday to show what he is made of. All talk…

  41. Jason, i would love to hear them.. babahaha what are they ?

  42. Hate to say it but i think because of REX’s coaching style this team is getting away from him.I respect REX really i do and i do see him doing a great job as a coach in the future..BUT this team is still lacking the fundamentals of a solid coached team….We keep blaming players but where is the accountability of the coaching staff as a whole..Where are the in game adjustments, figuring out the other teams weaknesses, and the BIG 1 finding ways to WIN..This isn’t the same ole JETS but it sure feels like it…

  43. Some REALLY GOOD phrases here and I agree 100% with them like:

“You really think this team would be 8-2 with Kellen Clemens??????? Give me a break. Even if Sanchez had been perfect today, they still would have lost because of Mr. Overpaid Bart Scott and Mr. Overpaid LOL Kerry Rhodes.”

Come on, Sanchez is the best we have. Yes he is struggling a lot and yes he has a lot to learn but he is still the best we have. Complains should go ALL on offensive coordinator that keeps calling pass plays when we sure should not pass and COMPLETELY forcing him into mistakes. And no need to say that our running play is very good and he seems to not pay attention to that.

Well Bart Scott had some nice games this season but he is playing like he doesn’t care for anything in this team for the past weeks. Really think it’s something emotional or realtionship with teammates.

As for Rhodes I’m just wordless. He is ridiculous this season and I really expected SO much more from him. Can’t figure out what’s going on.

Do you guys still have any hope on playoffs?
Who still think we can make it give me a J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS hehe!

  44. man do I miss RATTY, ughhhhh. He had a stronger arm than Sanchez

  45. I ask again why is our great qb going backwards if you reverse his year then the coaches are doing a great job ?

  46. I bet if you add Marc Sanchez on facebook, you will see in the news feed the following.

Marc Sanchez just became a fan of INTERCEPTIONS.

  47. Hey Spent, agreed it’s hard to stomach what Sanchez is doing but what good is the bench ? He won’t learn much watching Clemens. Plenty of QB’s have been thrown in the fire looked awful and recoverd from it. Season is lost at this point, i say let him play. One more thing can someone teach Kerry Rhodes to wrap his arms around a ball carrier, i am so sick and tired of watching him shoulder bump the ball carrier.

  48. Clemens is not an NFL starter. Playing Clemens sets the franchise back further. Sanchez’ primary flaw is lack of experience. The only way to gain experience is to play. The TD to Cotchery was a flash of what’s possible, as were a couple of those seam passes to Keller. He’s got the raw skills. He’s not going to learn anything by sitting on the bench watching Clemens. I place blame for Sanchez’ first pick 6 on both him and Schottenheimer. Why call a pattern that draws 3 DBs into a sideline out at that stage of the game, deep in your own territory?

Kerry Rhodes is about to party and tweet himself out of the league. I don’t recall seeing a softer safety. I got the sense from Ryan’s post-game interview that KR was one of the guys he was talking about not fitting the mold of the team he hopes to field.

The loss of two of the best players, Leon on O, Jenkins on D, really showed up today.

It’s so demoralizing watching Welker do to the Jets what Chrebet used to do to NE. Have the Jets tried hard enough to find that same kind of slot receiver again?

  49. We need to trade Edwards for a load of draft picks. He drops too many catches.

  50. Remember rex ryan begged shotty to stay and brought in scott.

  51. i miss brett ratliff !!!!! dammit we should of never drafted a qb. rattyyyy !!!!!!! nooooooooooooooo, why did mangini have to take you from usssssssssss

  52. The real problem with our team is that this QB is going to take time to get better, so this year is gone, and so is next year.

It’s going to be another long offseason where we get our hopes up, and them we only get 6 or 10 weeks of football, before it’s back to waiting another year.

So depressing, it’s such a grind. I’m going to continue watching the Giants in the hopes I can develop strong feelings for them. If I can do it, ill leave this sad team goodbye. It probably won’t happen, but god do I hope for it.

  53. yea, clemens is not a franchise qb. but what makes sanchez a franchise qb. aside from terms of his contract.

  54. Rookie QB’s looking awful isn’t a new thing, and their progress is usually uneven throughout the year. Eli Manning looked like he was turning the corner after about 6 games in 2004 – then he threw up a 4-of-18 for 27 yds at Baltimore. In his first season of playing, Drew Brees put up two games in the second half of the season with QB ratings around 40, and his team finished that season with 7 losses in their last 9 games. Sanchez played really well against OAK and in the second MIA game, and now has thrown up two clunkers in a row. You have to be patient with him.

Our rookie coach, on the other hand… look, I understand most people get out-coached by BB (esp a ticked-off BB after last Sunday). And I know game management isn’t a strong suit of Rex’s yet, and I’ll give him some time to get better at that. But this game was something else – we had the less passionate, less prepared, less smart team all day long. That’s not OK – those are the things Rex is supposed to bring to the table.

I’m not surprised that we’re 4-6 with a new QB and coach, but I am disappointed in how we got there – with our coach and team both trending in the wrong direction.

  55. Schotty must go.

  56. Sanchez should have been benched today. Not permanently, not forever, but today.

If Donavan McNabb can get benched in Philly after taking that team to a Super Bowl and NFC Championship games, Sanchez can learn a lesson or two on the bench.

Belichik set traps for that kid all over the secondary today, he didnt have it, he was cooked and it showed.

Im not even as remotely close to giving up on him as the rest of you, but today his play was so bad that he didnt deserve to QB the team.

The kid has 6 games left to start giving Jet fans a reason not to want to strangle him,

its official the diapers are off

  57. He should actually be canned now.

  58. Same old JETS! And there is a sucker born evertday who will pay woody’s extortion monies called psl fees.

  59. Sanchez should have been pulled his first 4 int game and he should have been pulled early here today….have to play him now that we have no chance…..Here is some food for thought…Brett Favre comes in and all the jets ask for him to do is look deep not open hit Keller on a 5 yard hook….i was so pissed thats all the jets did last year was hit that 5 yard hook. Sanchez comes in and Shotty has him looking two or three recievers before throwing an int or sack …were is his saftey valve.. he should have two reads long then short then throw it away……As for Rhodes COME ON MAN

  60. I gotta say I blame this one on Schottenheimer. He should have been running the ball on almost every down. TJ was getting chunks of yards every time he touched the ball, yet he put Sanchez into situations where he had to make plays against one of the best coached defenses in the NFL. More running would have meant far fewer mistakes by Sanchez.

  61. Sanchez will never be a good qb. Mark my words. hahah get it, bahahahah

  62. Shotty should have been gone 2 years ago. He brings nothing to the game. I mean what was it 3 & 2 and he calls for some wildcat bs. Sickening

  63. We need to start a fire Tennenbaum petition the guy overpaid for bart scott who was made by Ray lewis and Suggs, The amazingly huge contract to Calvin Pace, or his amazing draft pick record…in 2006 2nd round Kellen Clemens, 3rd round Anthony Schlegel , 2008 Vernon Gholston, etc.. you get the point. The bum needs to go … Woody get some balls want to sell your overpriced psls in this economy …fire that bum Tennenbaum.

  64. Mr Pick Six, were you saying the same thing about Peyton when he threw 28 picks as a rook? Lets not forget the guy started 1 year in college so he may be a little farther behind then other rooks

  65. >>its official the diapers are off

They may be off Sanchez, jury is still out on the fans. A truckload of menopausal women going through hot flashes have fewer emotional swings than Jets fans.

  66. Jets fans should boycott the rest of the season. Why boycott? Don’t go to games until Schotty ifs fired. Also trade Edward for a load of picks.

  67. Disgruntled, how about being fair, the alos drafted Brick, Mangold and Leon in the 06 draft

  68. In typical fashion ,this team proves again that not coaching, star players and crying can help the disease that plagues them .
sadly, already there’s discussion on 2010,who stays, who goes. this scenario is worse then last year . woody and “no talent mike” must be sick to their stomachs. After all, this is their creation. it’s always gonna be a roll of the dice mentality for these guys. we know how they roll. I can’t wait to see what will happen with all overpaid and overrated players.

  69. Draft Eric Berry next year, fire Schotty like yesterday and please bench Sanchez so that he knows there are consequences for bad play.

We are done this year. Its over.

    Panthers 21
Jets (Just End The SAeason) 9

    Book it.

  70. Relax, folks. Sanchez is progressing every game…he got no help from his defense today. Did you not hear Simms praising his footwork & moxie?!?

Would any of you honestly want Flacco, Ryan, Henne or Stafford, to name a few new QBs, over Sanchez? You all will eat your criticisms in ythe very near future.

  71. fire shotty
    fire the gm
    get a new owner

  72. AKA Jack LOL- its crazy man I know

Anyone else notice that we’ve had 3 different QB’s that all vary in experience and status in the league and the only constant is Schotty. And yet our passing game still has NO RHYTHM.

Mr T and Rex- its time, get a new off cord

  73. I told you guys last year that Rhodes is a bum. TJB wrote one article after another Kerry this Kerry that and all of you guys jumped on me saying I wasn’t a jet fan. Well now look he sucks doesn;t he so now can TJB stop writing about how great he is. He has a better future in LA than in the NFL.

  74. I am numb about this team. I refuse to get upset anymore. I was so psyched for this defense after the first couple games and now nothing. I know they were alright in some spots today but they looked unstoppable earlier in the year. Now they look average..again.

Leave sanchez in the season is over.

  75. its about time tannenbauma takes some heat for what he has done with this team,i wonder if he has some tapes on woody

  76. SCHITTY MUST GO

  77. the defense is missing jenkins, they are one corner and safety and linebacker away from been the best d in the league,id say get berry in the first round,a good corner in the second, and fire shotty of course, cant forget that one,and we will be good next year

  78. Whoever thought even after a 3-0 start that our Jets would be a playoff team or a Championship team with a Rookie HC and a Rookie QB doesn’t know football. The mistakes would be made and I’m ok with them. This season is about every yr that follows this. Is it awful to watch how they are playing? Yes. Just as it was awful in Indy and Dallas when they had rookie QB’s playing.

And whoever is saying Bart Scott isn’t good; sorry but you are off base. Every expert will tell you he’s playing his roll. Does he make mistakes? Who the hell doesn’t?

Kudos to Jimmy Leonhard for playing this week. He’s been a great addition.

  79. Schott has to go. This is going to sound a liitle off the wall but what about bringing in a veteran to make a run with this group? It should have been done this year and no Clemens. A proven guy that is not going to make the same mistakes every week. Give Sanchez time to learn and actually develop. There is plenty of talent on offense that this should not be happening. Either change the OC and simplify the attack or bring someone who can execute the plays

  80. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Schottenheimer

The idiot is actually on wikipedia. In a few months it will finish with “fired for being the worst offensive coordinator” in Jets history.

  81. Rhodes gone
    Edwards gone
    Shotty gone
    Lito gone
    Golhst gone

Bring in Chad as QB coach.

  82. Sanchez should ride the pine. If only so he can clear his head. Yes, I know Manning played every snap in his dreadful rookie year, but he was an absolute, can’t miss prospect on a crappy team. He lost tons of games because his team was garbage, and they knew that they were garbage, so they let him learn on the job. However, Sanchez is a one year starter in college and very very far from a sure thing. Clemens has never had a fair chance in the NFL, and frankly we’re not going to the playoffs anyway. Let Sanchez clear his head, study some more on the bench and get his reads and mechanics straight. Carson Palmer, Eli Manning, etc all spent time on the bench their rookie seasons and it paid off well for them.

  83. What experts … Im not saying scott is a horrible player like kerry rhodes, but hes not worth 8 mil a year not at all, Im sure no experts will tell you he is.

  84. Sanchez stinks, Bart Scott please shut up and Rex, stop crying and start screaming.

  85. Seriously, Bart needs to shut up.

    Sanchez needs to grow up.

    Rhodes makes me throw up.

    Draft Eric Berry.

We are playing bad enough to get in the Top 10 of the draft and with luck and help from the Browns we can get Eric Berry to replace Rhodes who we deal to Cleveland, talk about revenge.

  86. The problem is this guy thinks he’s friggin Mike Martz . What happenend to having Sanchez manage the game, win with the run and defense? He thinks he’s a goddamn offensive guru, he’s a moron. How many times did Flacco throw the ball 30 times during his playoff run last year? Tell me Garbageheimer!!

  87. Seriously, Schotty has to go. What is his hard-on for having Sanchez throw 30 yards down the field on the first play of every drive? When has that ever worked? For anyone? The kid can throw a pretty good deep ball, but he has to get into a rhythm first. It’s like bringing in a reliever without having him warm up in the bullpen. And his Wildcat option to Shonn Greene on 3rd & 2 was typical Schotty, trying to reinvent the wheel when we were getting decent push in the running game.

  88. the bad backer is ok … but certainly not the centerpiece the jets paid for…

  89. kerry rhodes lol……

  90. you sanchez lovers are have got holes in your heads.there isn’t another team in the nfl whp would leave this guy in. we were a couple of games out of first”hello we play to win the game” couldn’t said it better myself. sit the kid and let him learn.

  91. Edwards HAS NOT gotten over the drops; and btw that mascot skit where they said the Jets would go 0-for the rest of the season is looking like reality.

  92. I don’t normally pick on Shotty, but he fails to adjust his play calling for the accuracy and skill level of his QB. I know at the start of the season when Sanchez looked and played with confidence the game plan was to throw everything at him and not adjust for a rookie, but that hasn’t panned out.

Case in point is today’s game. When the Jets fought back to 24-14 with great field position around mid-field and plenty of time, Shotty should have run the ball to set up an occasional pass. Instead, WIth the inconsistent play of Sanchez and the Jets #1 running game he called for pass which was intercepted. That’s not smart football.

Another point about Sotty: he doesn’t know how to use a slot receiver. If Shotty was on the team in 2006 with Chrebet (retired 2005), Wayne never would’ve been making clutch 3rd down conversions.

  93. Did anyone see who the Jets lost to today? A future HOF coach, and QB, a far superior offense with Brady, Welker, Moss et al, and 3 time SB winners. Oh yeah, an owner who built a state ot the art stadium,.( with his own money ) and put proven pro football people in charge.
The only way the JETS win anything is to stop hiring the Rex Ryan,s of the world.

  94. hthehat
    good post
We will be looking up at them and Miami for a looooong time, I hate to admit.

  95. PLEASE BRING IN CHAD PENNINGTON AS OUR QB COACH..pretty pleeeasse

  96. This loss falls squarely on Rex Ryan’s lap. To date, I do not see Rex performing the HC duties required to win NFL games. First, the team looked “flat” and ill prepared not to mentioned unmotivated. No adjustment for Wes Welker…(I thought he was a defensive “genius”). Never did he override offensive plays that exposed Sanchez. He should’ve benched Sanchez after his third interception to send a message to his QB. Never happened. It demonstrates that he is stubborn and unable to kick some of his players butts when need be. Rather he cries in front of them with NO positive results on the field. What’s alarming is that I see Rex as a coach that brings great emotion and bravado to the table but really nothing else. If this continues don’t expect any SBs. I saw the game and I came to the conclusion that Sanchez really doesn’t posses an NFL arm. I wish I can not feel this but “it’s the same old Jets”. Head coach and starting QB not demostrating any significant growth. This overall sense of no hope will certainly not sell any PSLs….are you listening Woody?

  97. THE PLAY OF THE GAME –
Kerry flying at Welker with a clear shot at leveling him. Except Kerry had his arms at his side, going for the bogus cross-body-block tackle. Welker just bounced off of him, said ‘Thank you very much!’ and kept running while ‘TwitterBoy’ just bounced off the turf.

    Disgusting.

  98. sad thing is the game was winnable

  99. flat and ill prepared and unmotivated<<<<<<

but rex cryed…..and he does gatorade dumps when they beat the raiders ..lol …. this guys a clown …. he's pulled every gimmick known to coaching in his first 10 weeks and he hasnt motivated a thing .. infact he's lost them …..

    another lost era….

  100. John m. you hit it right on the head. Rex is a clown.

Stay with Sanchez, kick out Rhodes, gholston

They need a win in the worst way. Let’s not over-react to NE game. We should all be flippin’ mad at Buffalo game, Jacquar game and Miami 2 game. We take 2 out of those 3 and we’re 6-4.

A good coach never would have lost those 3 games. Rookie QB or not.

  101. KERRY RHODES IS HORRIBLE AND IS GONNA FINISH THE SEASON WITHOUT A SINGLE PICK OR BIG PLAY

BART SCOTT A BELOW AVERAGE LINEBACKER WE OVER PAYED FOR HIM HE MISSES EVERY TACKLE

I LIKE SANCHEZ BUT HES REPEATING THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER EVEM AFTER HE THINKS HE FIXED THEM ONE WEEK HE SAYS THEY DID BALL SECURITY DRILLS NEXT WEEK HES HOLDING IT OUT LIKE A LOAF OF BREAD ONE WEEK THEY TAKE SOMETHING OFF HIS PLATE AND HE STILL THROWS MULTIPLE PICKS
