Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
Their Last Meeting: Rex Ryan only into his second game as head coach of the Jets promised to bring the pressure on Brady and Co. and did not fail to deliver. Brady’s numbers were far from “wonderboy” and the Jets defense refused the Patriots any touchdowns. The Jets would leave 2-0 first in the AFC East after a 16-9 win over the Pats.

It’s once again time for that heated rivalry we all know and love and this is promising to be quite an interesting one as the Patriots who were just knocked off by the Colts after a stunning decision by Bill Belichick are pretty steamed and all units are getting in gear for the game after getting dropped 9-16 in their previous encounter. Meanwhile the Jets at 4-5 need a win here to keep their playoffs hopes alive and if they can capitalize on mistakes and perservere they just might be able to stay alive. But with many injuries and poor playing one has to wonder if the Jets can finally get their act together after a tearful speech by Rex Ryan earlier in the week. We can only hope.
The key’s to success will be for the defense to rally and bring the pressure they bought in week two, keep Brady rattled as much as possible while on offense Sanchez has to be careful with the ball while Jones and Greene need to tear up that defensive line while Cotch, Braylon and Co. need to keep the secondary on their toes. Oh and manage the game properly! Gather round the TV, bar or wherever you maybe and get ready to watch Ryan’s Green Machines and Belichick’s Blue B******* go head to head. Make sure to stop by during the day and leave your thoughts and comments.

We can’t look at the scoreboard until we beat the Pats.
But if you’re peeking, the Steelers are tied with the Chiefs. The ravens are down to the Colts and the Jags are down to the Bills.
If we want to win this game we must have the ball last. We cannot let Brady have the ball down 6 or less in the final minutes of the game.

In the beginning of the season, I said Jets would have 4-5 wins and be amongst the bottom teams in the league. With their display the last 2 months, I have no reason to believe otherwise.
Tanny is a horrible GM, Woody sucks at ownership, Rex is a fat mouth who’d be served better at the Nathan’s Hot Dog contest and Sanchez stinks, as most people were able to predict.
I’m not fair weathered fan, this Pats game is actually the first AFC East road game I’ve missed in 11 years. I just couldn’t go to be honest. Being bad has been something we’ve gotten used to. Being an arrogant, underachieving and just outright dumb franchise is something I’m not prepared to stand behind.
At the end of the day, I’ll be green and white through and through but the truth remains. This team stinks and it’s time to shake up the front office and make smart personnel decisions (Not just ones to sell overpriced seats).

Schottenhiemer has had two QBs that were legit in Chad and Favre. They both had a little better stat line than Sanchez.
Chad left and went for 19 tds and 7 ints
Favre is sitting at 17 and 3I think its time to say that we run our offense in a box and the league has a BOOK on Schotty’s offense. It doesnt matter if Sanchez or HOFer top 5 QB of all time Brett Favre runs it, the result is the same

Sanchez is a rookie who only play 16(?) games at USC as a starter. We will be a good team soon…but not this year. Sure we were all pumped at the beginning of the year. If you have never seen a rookie QB make mistakes like this, than you havent watched enough football. Ill throw out some names see if you recognize them, Aikman, Elway, Favre, Eli and Peyton Manning. All of them had TERRIBLE rookie seasons.
You cant say he’ll never be good definitively right now 10 games into his rookie season. You cant judge an NFL QB until about 36-40 games into their careers. All you arguements to Ed L are hypothetical because you cant predict the future

tomg… we have drafted well over the past few years..So we blew it on gholston. we hit the mark with leon in the fourth round!! look at the overall draft not just the mistakes there have been FAR more good picks over the last 6-8 years then bad ones!!!

Unfortunately you are right. We took a big chance starting Mark. Hopefully he will grow but for now the season is over. He cannot win the game without excellent “D” and running well. We stopped Brady for a while but are unable to make it happen. We need another corner and a better pass rush. Mark should spend his off season doing his homework! I have never been prouder to be a Jet fan! The way Sanchez & co. clawed their way out of a halftime deficit, and made this a competitive contest, has been breathtaking.
Like Rex said after the Dolphin loss at home, I’d still rather have the Jets locker room than that of any other team in the NFL.
I have some friends who are Dolphin fans who praise Chad Henne, but I’ll take Sanchez over Henne, Flacco, Stafford or any other young QB. Sanchez oozes charisma.
Like Simms is saying, Sanchez will continue making great strides toward stardom.

You know some things you can’t control: QB’s a rookie adjusting to WRs. He’s going to have some games like this. NT is on IR. Moss was due for a big day against Revis. Brady is actually stepping into his throws. The Pats are going to score.
But the mistakes, penalties at the least opportune time, the bad tackling, and terrible playcalling (Really? An option play on 3 and 2. Really?) is what makes the Jets look bad. It’s not that they lost, it’s how they lost.

By getting better, I mean going from 4-12 in 07, to 9-7, now they’ll probably finish 7-9 or 8-8 with a rookie QB. The defense is better then it’s been in the last 15 years…the offense will get better.

Big deal – If we finish 7-9, 8-8 then thats a successful season. Rex and Mark have definitely had some big time highs as well as lows. Important that you just remain patient and not get instigated by NY media.
