Their Last Meeting: Rex Ryan only into his second game as head coach of the Jets promised to bring the pressure on Brady and Co. and did not fail to deliver. Brady’s numbers were far from “wonderboy” and the Jets defense refused the Patriots any touchdowns. The Jets would leave 2-0 first in the AFC East after a 16-9 win over the Pats.

It’s once again time for that heated rivalry we all know and love and this is promising to be quite an interesting one as the Patriots who were just knocked off by the Colts after a stunning decision by Bill Belichick are pretty steamed and all units are getting in gear for the game after getting dropped 9-16 in their previous encounter. Meanwhile the Jets at 4-5 need a win here to keep their playoffs hopes alive and if they can capitalize on mistakes and perservere they just might be able to stay alive. But with many injuries and poor playing one has to wonder if the Jets can finally get their act together after a tearful speech by Rex Ryan earlier in the week. We can only hope.
The key’s to success will be for the defense to rally and bring the pressure they bought in week two, keep Brady rattled as much as possible while on offense Sanchez has to be careful with the ball while Jones and Greene need to tear up that defensive line while Cotch, Braylon and Co. need to keep the secondary on their toes. Oh and manage the game properly! Gather round the TV, bar or wherever you maybe and get ready to watch Ryan’s Green Machines and Belichick’s Blue B******* go head to head. Make sure to stop by during the day and leave your thoughts and comments.

In the beginning of the season, I said Jets would have 4-5 wins and be amongst the bottom teams in the league. With their display the last 2 months, I have no reason to believe otherwise.
Tanny is a horrible GM, Woody sucks at ownership, Rex is a fat mouth who’d be served better at the Nathan’s Hot Dog contest and Sanchez stinks, as most people were able to predict.
I’m not fair weathered fan, this Pats game is actually the first AFC East road game I’ve missed in 11 years. I just couldn’t go to be honest. Being bad has been something we’ve gotten used to. Being an arrogant, underachieving and just outright dumb franchise is something I’m not prepared to stand behind.
At the end of the day, I’ll be green and white through and through but the truth remains. This team stinks and it’s time to shake up the front office and make smart personnel decisions (Not just ones to sell overpriced seats).
Rex needs to make some serious changes. This is embarrassing.

See this is what happens with a rookie head coach. There should have been no waiting to challenge that call. You have nothing to lose by challenging it so do it immediately.
He’ll get better, the team will get better, not right away but eventually.
No one knows whether Rex will be a great coach or not. He certainly has already proved to be a great D cord, there is no debate about that.
Its too early to tell either way, but I will tell you that the lot of you guys who call him fat and stupid are worthless to the Jets as fans. Get a reality check. Rookie HCs and QBs fail, and fail miserably at that , more often than not. The guy gave us a glimpse of what could be early on this year, and you got delusional (myself included) as to what this team could do.

Unfortunately you are right. We took a big chance starting Mark. Hopefully he will grow but for now the season is over. He cannot win the game without excellent “D” and running well. We stopped Brady for a while but are unable to make it happen. We need another corner and a better pass rush. Mark should spend his off season doing his homework! Not chilling out the rest of the world works 12 months so should he!!!He makes BIG Bucks and needs to get better at the job.

I have never been prouder to be a Jet fan! The way Sanchez & co. clawed their way out of a halftime deficit, and made this a competitive contest, has been breathtaking.

You know some things you can’t control: QB’s a rookie adjusting to WRs. He’s going to have some games like this. NT is on IR. Moss was due for a big day against Revis. Brady is actually stepping into his throws. The Pats are going to score.
But the mistakes, penalties at the least opportune time, the bad tackling, and terrible playcalling (Really? An option play on 3 and 2. Really?) is what makes the Jets look bad. It’s not that they lost, it’s how they lost.

I’m fine with Sanchez continuing as starting QB. I still believe BSchott hurts Sanchez more than helps nurture his growth…Run the ball more, less up the middle, throw some screens, throw the ball away when pressured!!!
Pats’ coverage was good but not shutdown. Sanchez had open receivers, he just flat out kept missing them. That’s not a matter of rookie mistakes, it’s his arm. Past games – ok, it was rainy or gusty. But by now he’s got to be more accurate.
Absolutely no excuses allowed for Sanchez, he consistently threw behind receivers. Ordinarily I’d chalk up bad throws to rookie errors, but he was throwing behind triple-covered receivers!! WTF

I’ve been a fan for 26 seasons. So don’t try and tell me I don’t know what it’s like…I know how they’ve been throughout history, but this defense has never been this good, and they have a rookie QB that is only going to get better.. so please, I don’t wanna hear it.
By getting better, I mean going from 4-12 in 07, to 9-7, now they’ll probably finish 7-9 or 8-8 with a rookie QB. The defense is better then it’s been in the last 15 years…the offense will get better.

all great qb make alot of mistakes farve was worse but one thing farve had was receivers to go get the ball the jet rec wait for the ball look at other receivers they go after the ball and make catches that is always intercepted when jet receivers let happen edwards could of made more effort keller also also a drop pass by edwards 2x dont help look at the game not the years of misery you bring on to yourself jim kelly manning 1and 2 farve now sanchez it will get better

Hey. I’ve been a fan since 1981and I’m all in with my team. I will give Rex and Sanchez their opportunity to learn through their rookie seasons. I hate to lose as much as the next guy, but I’m realistic. Rex Ryan’s career is not over, it’s just getting started….ditto for Mark Sanchez. Most loser NY fans don’t have the patience to wait at all. Too bad we have a salary cap or maybe we could sign more superstars like the Yankees (I’m a fan). NY Knicks fans (I’m also a fan) want Iverson and can’t wait for Donnie Walsh to develop that team even though nobody thought they would ever get under the salary cap. Mangini’s record was 10-6, 4-12 and 9-7 with the Jets yet he got run out of town. In the NFL, some continuity goes a long way, but we want a championship so bad, we crap all over who ever just gets started running our team. It’s sickening to me that we are so cut throat.
Everyone keeps saying that he is a rookie qb ofcourse he will make mistakes. But when he started the season he had great footwork, took care of the ball, and appeared to be very mature why would that all go away?

This D is definitely a good defense not great but good and I think the D lacks mentally and some physically tough players all of which will be worked out in time.
