Life is short. Football is fun. We’re all Jets fan and we’ve all been through FAR WORSE than what we’ve seen this year. It’s a sport, it’s entertainment. I don’t care if the Jets have a Pro Bowler at every position and still can’t win a game. Just remember that it IS still a game. Get frustrated, sure, but people are lining up to take a leap off the Empire State Building and I just think it’s absurd. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
They’re not making the playoffs, first of all. And even after their three game winning streak, anybody who honestly thought the Jets were going to win the Super Bowl (let alone get there, with a rookie HC and QB) was delusional. So what’s that mean? It means, at the end of the season, that the Jets A) Know by and large what problems they need to fix; B) Have at least a better draft pick with which they can address one or more of those problems; and C) Will have hopefully made some progress already on addressing those problems, particularly those involving our QB of the future.
This isn’t the nightly news, and it makes me kind of sick to read articles about the Jets and hear stuff on ESPN or other networks that make the Jets troubles seem comparable to World War III. Loosen up! If you’re that upset, go get some ice cream and then get excited for the next game. It’s still fun! Sanchez is learning, the defense is getting pissed, they’re playing some crappy teams in the future…and hey, you can’t lose ‘em all!
All I’m saying is that if you’re a football fan and a Jets fan, act like it! Have fun and support the team regardless of their record and how good they’re playing. Who cares what other people think? If you’re really rooting for the Jets for the same reason you started smoking and got that embarrassing tattoo then you’re a fan of the wrong team. I’m a Jets fan til the day I die, and if they lose every game in December (and follow that up with an 0-16 season next year), I’ll still be watching every game and rooting hard every week…and I’ll be doing it, fortunately, with fewer fair weather fans.

Rex cut the nice guy crap. Start calling the plays and if you have to think of some new ones. Schott has ruined every QB he has been around. Look at Farve. 23 picks last year , 3 this year. Who’d a thunk? Schotty is the common denominator. He is a bum. Why do you think your record is what it is? Schotty is a bad OC. He undermines the confidence of the team. Do you notce how the Defense seflates after the first pick in each losing game? They know it is coming. Its just a matter of time. What is the message? The kid can not throw deep into coverage. The longer he holds the ball he is pressured and chucks it to the other team. Do you notice that? can you as HC do anything about it? Do you respect schotty so much you cant say anything?
Crying at practice to motivate players? Try firing loser dogs to shake things up.
