Seems our entire offense except TJ is out of sync. I dont think Braylon can be fairly judged until we can right the ship. TJ also was not doing well until he got here.So that should be taken into consideration.

He’s awful, and he can barely catch anything if he had duct-tape gloves on. Why would we keep this guy around other than to puff our chests and say “oooh look, we have Braylon Edwards.” I was ecstatic once we got him. but he hasnt really made much of an impact since his first game. If he’s fine making the mininum for his position, keep him. If not, let him go elsewhere.

No doubt about it. Jets gotta sign Braylon. He’s played great and will only get better as he gets playbook and timing down.

He may give Jets a discount, just because NYC is NOT Cleveland.

The pats game was by far the worst game Braylon played as a Jet. With that being said, the offense struggled in general.

The 2 pt play Reggie Nelson put a helmet on that ball. It had nothing to do with hands. Chez put too much loft on it and Braylon, who went up to go get the ball, just leaped way too much for it, like he was trying to catch a lob for a dunk. Some of the drops can be related to timing issues too. That can change the more he plays with Sanchez

He can be really good for us and he WANTS to be here, as long as he can be reasonable with his contract the Jets should bring him back

Swizzie-
Disagree calling Edwards the Rhodes of the O. First or all, let’s not write off Kerry Rhodes’ whole career here. He’s been a good-very good safety for a while, let’s see if he responds to what I agree was a a legitimate benching.

Edwards, though, hasn’t been showing any of the softness or lack of tenacity Rhodes has. Edwards has blocked well, fought for yards, gone way up high over the middle, etc. Everything you’d ask a WR.

Hopefully drops aren’t a part of his’ game. If they are, though, I still think he’s a #1 receiver for the big plays he can give you throughout a game. Let Cotchery and Leon (and hopefully Keller eventually) be the possession receivers.

Hey I think that regardless of the dropped balls, We s=need to sign this guy. He still solves the issue of the #1 WR. Plus it frees up Cotchery, and his presence alone affects the running game as well. I think we keep him we won’t have to worry too much about WR the next offseason and draft, and we can focus on other holes they need to fill.

it’s pure and simple.when balls are frequent dropped from incompetence, the NFL is not very forgiving. Edwards does or doesn’t. Edwards has to make catches in clutch situations or he’s out of a job. his focus should be on making that special grab holding on at all costs. just make the catch.

Sanchez to Edwards will be very interesting in 2010 after they both have a full training camp to work together. The front office will find a way to keep Edwards and let the duo develop. Cotchery and Keller are excellent secondary options, but Edwards is the type guy that draws the coverage.
