Interesting idea. We'll see if it happens. If not, I guess it's because Slauson doesn't have experience at tackle and therefore Mulligan would be more comfortable (maybe he plays special teams better too?)

Mulligan isn't much of a receiving threat but he's more athletic than Hartsock.

Again I am curious if Slauson if Slauson has progressed enough to be activated.. Mulligan is a cheap alternative to Hartsock, and is he more of a receiving threat ?

Bent, with Turner being out, would Slauson be a candidate to take the Turner role in the jumbo set ? it will be interesting to see if he is activated for the first time this year...

Drew - the reason he's being activated is that Rob Turner is hurt, so they need an extra blocking TE for short yardage sets.

This is part of the evaluation process for next year, competition for Hartsock, and a way of rewarding one of those eight guys on the PS ( I think their game check goes from 5,000 as a PS guy to about 24,000). So in the last 5 games he makes 125,000, enough to encourage a major committment to the program. for the off season... Apparently the Jets believe he has a future here

I am wondering why we need 3 TE's not counting the LS on the roster this week?

Didnt we rush for over 300 yards against this defense 4 weeks ago? Not sure why this guy is needed unless Hartstock is in the real doghouse and wont play.

Jenkins didn't damage any other ligaments, it was a clean tear and he should make a full recovery they said. Leon Washington is the one we should be worried about, hopefully he'll still be the same player next season but that's hard to imagine considering how severe his injury was.
