With a game on Thursday night, the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills have released their final injury report as of last night.
NEW YORK JETS
Out: CB Dwight Lowery (ankle), CB Donald Strickland (concussion), OG Robert Turner (knee).
Probable: QB Mark Sanchez (knee), LT D’Brickshaw Ferguson (hamstring), DE Shaun Ellis (knee), OLB Calvin Pace (shoulder), S Jim Leonhard (thumb), S Eric Smith (back).
Analysis: All of the probable players fully participated in yesterday’s practice, so don’t expect any of them to miss time tonight. Missing the #3 and #4 corners again is going to make it easier for the Bills to pick on the Jets from the slot, but with the recent promotion of Safety Eric Smith over Kerry Rhodes, and Rhodes’ work as a nickel/dime player, this actually works well for the Jets in terms of matchups when the Bills go into three receiver sets. Turner’s presence will be missed on the Jets jumbo run packages, but Wayne Hunter and Ben Hartsock should be able to hold the fort until Turner’s return. Look to see if the Jets activate former Husker Matt Slauson tonight.
BUFFALO BILLS
Out: LT Demetrius Bell (knee), DT John McCargo (calf), CB Ashton Youboty (ankle)
Questionable: CB Terrence McGee (knee), S Jairus Byrd (groin)
Analysis: Looks like a clean sheet for the Bills right? Wrong. The Bills currently have fifteen players on the injury reserve. Fifteen! The offensive line was one of the areas worst hit, with Brad Butler (13 starts in ’08) Seth McKinney (3 starts in ’08 in CLE) and rookie Eric Wood (10 starts this year) all sidelined. The offensive line is a point of weakness, and the Jets did a poor job getting to the Quarterback (even though they did force Edwards out of the game) with one sack and four registered quarterback hits. Jairus Byrd was the guy who had two interceptions on Sanchez the last time around, so look to see if he plays and if he does, how much of a factor he is in the Jets offensive decisionmaking.

Does anyone know if they are playing with the roof on or off at the Rogers Centre?
-
I assume with the roof on, do they play night games there in December with the roof off? Would suck if they did.
-
From what I read yesterday, Byrd is out and McGee is unlikely to play.

Wow, the Bills have 15 players on IR and have one less win than the Jets?

have we played a single game all year with the entire secondary intact?
besides welker killing us in foxboro, the secondary has been great. it would be great to play a game with the DB’s at 100%
