The issue is he should not be leading an NFL team on Sundays. The guy is a position coach at best who really should be in the scouting/personnel dept. If Hank would just acknowledge that he is a terrible coach, Im sure we all wouldnt have a problem saying that Mangini can help a team in the player personnel dept. There are limits to the extent to which you can frontload in an uncapped year. Since the Jets can buy back 2011 and 2012 for $5m and $15m respectively (assuming Revis meets all incentives) all extending him now would achieve is to pay him more in 2010 and 2011 (cap or no cap). Expect to see him get an eight figure deal at the end of next season to lock him up well into his thirties, but don't expect anything before the CBA is signed. He is incredible though and retaining him forever is this organization's number one priority IMO. R – as ever, I am the cap killjoy!
