the patriots made Henne look like Dan Marino. it sucks that Henne is so much better than Sanchez doesnt it? i mean Henne doesnt have Edwards or cotch to throw to either

    Bassett,

TV’s your media, man! Good information as always regarding Sanchez injury, but funny as hell with comments about Clemens sacking himself and Rhodes pushing (not tackling) runners out of bounds like a division two player.

Interesting observation about Revis keeping it ever so humble through an All Pro year. I don’t think the money will change him. I’m hoping a Revis jersey stays on my back like Namath or Chrebet!

Dean I agree with you about Revis staying humble after his payday. Anyone who thinks Revis will fall victim to the $$ needs to remember that his uncle is Sean Gilbert (former defensive tackle in the NFL) who is constantly keeping him grounded and pushing him to be better. They talk after every game and Gilbert makes sure Revis has not become complacent in his game. It’s lucky to have not only the best player at a single position in the league, but to have that type of player come with Revis’ personality is like winning the Mega Millions.

    Good points, Brendan.

When I listen to our young guys like Revis, Lowery, Harris Mangold, D’Brick, Leon Washington, Keller, Sanchez, they sound as “grounded” as some of our veteran leaders including character veterans such as Thomas Jones, Tony Richardson, Bart Scott, Jim Leonard, Alan Fanaca, and Damien Woody.

And, I hear our future core players on and off the field. Sorry if I left out any of our solid locker room guys.

Which raises a great question. Which Jets veterans do we most admire and want our youngsters to emulate?

I’ll take Ronnie Lott over Deion Sanders any day, which doesn’t mean I want to declare Marshall Law on David Clowney and Kerry Rhodes. It just means, “C’Mon Man” Shut Up and Play!!!
