New York Jets LB Calvin Pace, 12.10

On Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman…
He’s good. He’s a guy who will play a long time. He has all of the tools. Right now he is getting experience. It’s tough going from starting in college and coming in being thrown to the fire. He’s got weapons around him. You see flashes of why they picked him where they picked him.

On how the defense is playing…Good. There is always room for improvement especially with certain things that we do as far as the mental mistakes. A guy might not be in the right place at the right time. If we can just go out and eliminate the mistakes, it will be a lot better.

On being in the playoff race…
It means a lot. That is why everybody plays. Everybody’s goal is to be a championship team. We kind of hurt ourselves with the position we’re in right now. We can also help ourselves and win the rest of our games.

On the last two wins…
I think anytime you get a win, no matter the fashion whether you blowout somebody or it’s a close game, it definitely helps the morale of the team. You go out and put the work in during the week and you go out get the results, it will help everybody.

New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis, 12.11

On Tampa Bay…
You can see their improvement week-in and week-out on the field. One thing we can’t do is we can’t relax on these guys. We’re going to their stadium. It’s home for them, so they’re going to feel more comfortable than us. We have to go down there and take the momentum fast.

On if there is more emphasis on turnovers this week…
We do. We want (the quarterback) to run around a bit and get him a little jittery and uncomfortable. That is the thing we want to focus on when we play this Sunday.

Funny how Todd McShay really knows nothing about what he is hyped to know on ESPN. “Josh Freeman is a poor mans Jamarcus Russel”

I’ve seen more from Freeman in a few plays than I’ve ever seen from Russel. Freeman has touch and accuracy, whereas Russel tries to gun everything.

Freeman is going to be very good when he learns and gets better players around him
