Week 16 Injury Report and Notes

by Weeks on December 27th, 2009 at 9:15 am

According to PFT, the Colts have signed on a third quarterback for the matchup against the Jets a Drew Willy. This is an interesting move as it would seem the Colts are searching for a backup to Curtis Painter which would lead me to believe Manning won’t be around too long but I guess we’ll save the speculation and let the impending game to the talking.

Wow from the looks of that list I expect the Colts to be resting alot of people. I am sure some will get in for a few reps but not many. Hopefully.

Agreed. That’s a very long list, and a majority of the colt’s starters.. Good news?

Anyone beyond probable won’t play at all, and all the probables will come out during the 3rd Q. Caldwell said he will base it on injuries, so my guess is that he now can take everyone on the probable list out at any time with no further explanation.

If the game is close like last week, Manning could stay in, but the Drew Willy signing pretty much says it all.

Garcon is out too?!!! I must have missed that one earlier in the week.

Excellent, Revis on Wayne, Shephard on Collie, Rhodes/Smith man up on Clark w/ Leonard over the top, send everyone else at Peyton.

If they want to beat us running and screening the ball, so be it.

I don’t know about it being good news — this list has 23 names. Two weeks ago it was 21 and last week it was 29 — with Manning and Wayne and the other starters all listed probable.

The good news for this week is the Drew Willy signing, and the comments three weeks ago that Caldwell prefers to get Painter into a home game rather than a road game.

I cant wait for 1pm ready. My tv and remote are ready.

Don’t underestimate the big Chiefs vs Bengals game because it can possibly have us playing a playoff game next week vs them.

If Freeney and Mathis don’t play or play very little, we will have a chance at this game. That’s all I’m saying
