The Jets will have a big game ahead of them a mere two days after the beginning of the New Year — a game that will determine whether they will exist for another game or hit the showers until training camp. So I suppose it is only fitting that Chad OchoCinco gets things kicked off by talking smack with Darrelle Revis continuing where he left off back in October. Below is his latest telegram to the Island …

It was bound to happen after all he is the famous OchoCinco but does he really want to push buttons after all receivers haven’t been too lucky on Revis Island this year and I highly doubt you’ll be an exception Chad especially with the game being Prime Time and a crucial one for the Jets I would be careful of what I say throughout the week.
Nonetheless perhaps the war of words will calm our nerves as we wait anxiously for the Jets to determine their fate.

I think OchoCinco is a great reciever who makes plays in the red zone despite not being all that big, but Carson Palmer aint Peyton Manning. He isnt going to be able to dictate coverage the way Peyton does.

Revis has been on record saying Ochocinco is the hardest receiver he’s ever had to cover, and it’s not even close(although i bet reggie wayne now stacks up),. Chad is big, fast and strong, like moss/owens, but cuts like he’s welker. It’ll be a great matchup. A great way to end the season and (hopefully) start the playoff run.
seemed like he kind of toned it down a bit when Chris Henry died and showed a side of him I really liked. Guess now hes back to being the old Chad which is fine too

His healthy trash talk is balanced by the respect he shows by calling D.R. “master lock” and “revis island” or by specifically complimenting his technique.

He is definitely funny. Aside from one bad year he had, he usually backs up what he says too.

Funniest player in the NFL, watching Hard Knocks this pre-season confirmed that. This isnt Joey Porter/Channing Crowder trash talk, this is competitive joking from a talented player. The Jets should stack the box against the run and just let Revis do his thing.

Ochocinco is saving football. Revis is going to keep him in his pocket all game, but I thank Chad for making the no fun league fun again. He takes his fines and doesn’t care. Even gives a matching amout to charity. He’s a bit screwy, but an ok guy in my book.
