I have to say that picturing Revis (or anyone else for that matter) as Jesus, is quite offensive. I would repectfully ask Bassett to replace that pic with another one.

Pete, I consider myself to be an evangelical Christian, and I appreciate your concern, but I don’t think this is exactly Maplethorpe quality blasphemy.
sometimes, it’s ok to laugh at things that are, on their face absurd, which that picture clearly is.

I guess it’s hard to get the tone of someone’s comment. Believe me, I’m not raging mad, or judging anyone. Very simply and calmly, I’m a christian and I think it is wrong to use Jesus’ image in a joking manner.
I’m sure that there are people on here would get upset if their favorite player was used as a joke somewhere. We are talking about God. -

Pete… what about people who don’t believe and Jesus and God?
We can’t view a simply hilarious picture because it MIGHT offend people?
Plus I believe we do live in a country called the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, where we have every right to freedom of speech.
This political correctness needs to end. Btw, the KSK Rex Ryan is highly offensive to our players and our coach be all all love that.
And calling Sanchez, Nacho is very offensive to Mexicans but none of you seem to care about that.
So grow up like the rest of us.

I have been told by some of you that my username on this site is offensive. I too am Catholic, and I find it to be nothing more than playful and by no means should it be taken too seriously. On the other hand, when I created this username during Revis’ rookie season, maybe I was forseeing the future….

Again, I’m not judging anyone. I love the Jets but to me (and I’m sure to most people on this site) there are many more things more important. I’m simply standing up for what I think is right. Not trying to convert anyone.
I like that verizon, AT&T, and revis map lol
