Your New Left Tackle
After a few false starts, our little lineman finally got in cadence.
It’s been a crazy week, and thanks for being patient, but the past few days have been an absolute whirlwind. I wanted to share the news that on Wednesday at 2:54PM ET this week, my amazing wife Courtney gave birth to our first child, a boy named Eliott James who measured 20.25 inches in length and was NINE pounds and seven ounces. Yes, he’s a true road grader in the making. I can’t wait for his trip to the Combine in 2031.
Although the name’s spelled a little different, in size and stature he already is paying homage to a former Jet great.
Court did fantastic through the labor and both mom and baby are extremely healthy and happy, though we’re all a little haggard and sleep deprived after such an eventful few days.
Thanks to all of your for your kind thoughts, prayers, and cheering us on in all ways, it’s been a big help. Special thanks to the fellas who’ve helped cover the blog for the past few days.

Congrats Brian. We just had our first child a few months ago and its a great experience. Be ready for alot of late nights these next few weeks, but Im sure ou will enjoy every minute of it.

Let me be the first to congratulate the Bassett family on their new addition and welcome the cute not-so-little fella to the Jets fanbase. Lucky guy hasn’t even seen them lose yet!

Kudos to Bassett for honoring Juggling Jumbo (and Jim Leonhard?) and also for sneaking a reference to TJB in there. Eliott J. Bassett, indeed.
