I always love scanning the Pro Bowl pictures and here’s some of our favorite players in Miami last week.

ESPN did a great job with their broadcast..
To watch and listen to Ray Lewis, Aaron Rogers, and many others call the plays and watch it all unfold was quite compelling..
A nice twist to an otherwise mundane exhibition..

I actually enjoyed this years Pro Bowl.

Tried watching—football at 1/2 speed is just not my cup of tea. I understand why—nobody wants to get or hurt someone—basically a scrimmage. Just don’t know why they play it. Then I don’t understand why they play any all-star games. Only one that makes a little bit of sense is baseball—at least there is something on the line and the non-contact aspect of the game makes it a better competition.

i agree – it is tough watching a game where you are actually rooting for your players not to be in the action so they dont get hurt. i think they should focus on more of a skills type competition, instead of an actual game

brian311 – i couldnt agree more… if they had a skills portion, like FG kicking, longest pass, fastest runner (although, chris johnson would win every year) etc. i think that might excite not only fans, but players to have more of a competition between eachother, but you cant predict injuries, you can decrease the chances, but say QB X throws a deep ball and strains his arm, or a freak twist of the ankle those are things you can’t avoid, although they are few and far between.

yea what happend bwtn the pics of Mangold, Brick, and fanceca. They were on the field at the same time lined up. It was special because even the announcers had to bring up the sight of them together.

They used to do quarterback skills competitions during Pro Bowl week in the ’90s. I’ve seen some reruns on NFL network. Pretty entertaining and a good, harmless event – not sure why they got rid of it.

Not one Mangold picture? How is that even possible?
