Its a point I been trying to make all morning….Kay started the interview leading Kerry down the “how can they trade Kerry Rhodes” path and Kerry bit and went with it. Not unlike Manassy and Bassett….Kay is a media guy who loves the fact that Kerry was available and open to the media.
Its not that Kay was trying to create a story but Rhodes was clearly sensitive to the Rex crew coming in and was still hurt by the trade when this interview happened.
The biggest problem is stories like this is why its hard to defend Rhodes. I have been torched most of the season ( with a few other Rhodes supporters) for defending his play and his off the field life.
We had the #1 defense and Rhodes had a down year.This shouldhave been feul to his fire to have a great 2010 season instead of this drama with the coaches ( who are loved by most players)….Just a sad ending to a promising Jet career
