Can you do a “post free agency mock draft” three weeks into free agency?

I would be shocked if the Jets took a guard with the first round pick.

If it was Iupati, clearly the best guard in this or any recent draft, I would be pleased as punch.

Faneca and Moore are not spring chickens. if we want to play smash mouth….

While I know some reasonable readers understand the need for depth on the DL, a really top notch pass rusher, and a starting safety, it is likely that no DL or pass rusher or safety ready to start will be on the board by the time we pick. If one is available, I have faith that our FO will take them.

And, I have no patience for those who want to waste a #1 pick on any WR, much less a college WR with question marks.

Harlan I agree with ya…Wasting a 1st rounder on a wide receiver this year would be a mistake considering the availible talent we have that is not being used aka Keller,leon,Clowney..I hear alot of cries for a slot receiver also but why haven’t the Jets utilized Keller in the slot more often as he has the intangibles to do so…I feel the Jets should move on a DL or OL in the first round as Jenkins and Faneca are getting up there is age and we still would have time to groom them into the line up…I think in the 2nd we should go after a S,FS,or OLB that can blitz well…in the later rounds go for a WR,CB,or depth running back in case we lose leon or a rotational RB incase of injury..I still dont feel wide receiver is a 1st round glaring need at this time as we are a run first, time of possession, defense first type team…

Watch for Zoltan Mesko! The dude’s gonna be a good punter in the league for years to come. (no higher than a 5th rounder though).
