Gary Myers writes a very interesting — and long — article about the new stadium explaining some of the features that fans would and wouldn’t know about it, like the locker rooms. Guess how the teams decided who got which one?
The Jets and Giants have large locker rooms at opposite ends of the hallway,. Of course, they both wanted the same room, presumably because one of them is closer to the loading dock. They couldn’t settle the dispute and flipped a coin. The Giants – who are good at coin flips – won.
My hope is that the Giants are using up all their luck on coin tosses, while the Jets are getting that karma loaded onto their on-the-field activities in the new stadium.

One thing Myers left out in his description. The lowest seat in the upper bowl at the new place is higher than the highest seat at the old one.
The new place is all about boxes for Donald Trump and his buddies to sip martinis and maybe even occasionally glance at the field.

where’s the link?

Actually, it’s the 5th row of the new upper deck that equals the top row of the old stadium. Luckily I am in row 3 :)

Woody should just buy the naming rights and called it J&J Jets stadium and really stick it to the G-Strings
-
Bent,

Bent complain?? I would assume Bent was joking with his SOJ comments…..lol
-
Bent we all know you love you to complain, you only kidding yourself. O_o.
What is the matter with these guys? This little feud between the Jets and Giants sounds like a long, drawn out episode of DeGrassi to me. They have never left senior high.
And this is what we hear about.

i hope woody stops falling for this double headed nickel trick…without woodys money the giants werent gonna build this nice of a stadium they should be a little more greatful…like the fact we are co-owners now instead of renters but i wish we would of jus got away from the giants all together…after the las couple weeks i kinda wish the pats went undefeated now
-
again i say…… they NEVER should have decided to share a stadium with the giants again.
-
John, if they hadn’t then they would be renters for at least another 5 years, if not much longer.
-
“after the last couple weeks i kinda wish the pats went undefeated now” – please dont overreact like that, the giants arent even close compared to how much i hate the pats

I have had that thought since the minute the G strings won the SB……
