  4. avatar clint says:

Well the first 6 games basicly will tell if were the real deal or not.

  5. avatar Led says:

I like the long week before the second Pats game.

  6. avatar Meez says:

Its about time we got some primetime love!!! Cant wait!

  7. avatar Jake says:

Nice lookin’ schedule, I just hope we can give it to the Ravens in week 1 !

  8. avatar MIKE says:

damn.. i thought a team can only have one MNF game

  9. avatar Brabble says:

I wish the Jets at Chicago game was not during my winter break

    hahah

  10. avatar Jimmy Shnoogen says:

Five primetime games, how bout it?!

  11. avatar MIKE says:

i wanted the Fins to the open the MNF game

  12. avatar jets17 says:

Well were playing two of the biggest games on the year without Santonio.. Pats and Miami early, . it will be a tight division.

  13. avatar lou says:

seriously do we have to play the pats at home every season during week 2? especially without holmes?

  14. avatar dtrain says:

wow… the NFL is banking we have a really good season were on primetime alot

  15. avatar Emilio says:

looking good, we just gotta kick the crap out of the dolphins week 3 and ill be happy, how tough do you guys think this is? we have a few tough games thats for sure

  16. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

    Is this the REAL schedule??

  17. avatar iJets says:

Bengals on thanksgiving???? why not an NFC team???

Division game (Bills) as last game of season??

  18. avatar MIKE says:

i hope we can rent Coles for the first 4 games

  19. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

I thought the Giants got the first home game?

  20. avatar clint says:

I think we will be okay without Holmes the first four games.

  21. avatar ronnie says:

The Jets have 3 straight tough games to start the season and have a stretch of 5 straight tough games until week 16.

Theres a nice storyline in almost every game there.
Ravens – Rex Ryans former team
    The division games.
    Favre.
    Mangini.
    Ocho Cinco vs Revis
    Cutler
    Holmes vs his former team

  22. avatar MIKE says:

it will be great to beat the bengsls again on thursday night

  23. avatar NamVetJet says:

Ed they will be playing the day before.

  24. avatar Le' Sean Roberts says:

    Tough schedule I would say.

  25. avatar Marc says:

I like how most of our difficult games are home. Maybe this will help entice some people to purchase the remaining PSLs. The prime time games only further confirm that Rex’s Jets are must see TV.

  26. avatar E. Weeks says:

    Eddie,

The Giants do get the first home game — it’s on Sunday.

  27. avatar Tos9987 says:

I think we got another tough schedual .

I also think that the browns and lions are going to be a lot better this year .

I kind of wish we played pittsburg and chacago a little earlier .

Sucks we wont have holmes or edwards for opening games .
how many is Brylon supposed to miss just one I hope .

I think I am going to try and go to the vikings and buffalo game . and maybe the patriots game

  28. avatar sunsetmusic says:

The NFL is trying to have divisongames for all teams on week 17 so that its not a “wasted” week

  29. avatar BurbankJetsFan says:

Three primetime games (2 Monday nighters!) within the first 5 games. That is where the nation can see what this Jets team is made of. Fitting that Rex vs Baltimore is the opener. Nice to have somewhat of an early bye week after the furthest road game in Denver. After that, the road tour isn’t too grueling, being in GB then going to ‘troit then to see Mangini…Tough schedule but good “breaks” in between (against <.500 teams). I don't think da Bears or da Bills should pose a real threat (knock) so the scheduling gods have been good to us at the end…I CAN'T WAIT

  30. avatar MIKE says:

    Tos9987

why you say the edwards is going to miss the first game???
give me a link where is says that?

  31. avatar Bent says:

Hat tip to jets4life who correctly reported details of this a few hours ago.

  32. avatar Brabble says:

The Jets have the most monday night games in the league

  33. avatar Bent says:

No suspension for Edwards was ever announced. If anything, he might get a game, but that would seem harsh.

  34. avatar Tos9987 says:

All the primetime games I look at it as a down side . I was considering buying season tickets .

But would probably have to miss most primetime games .

How you going to sell tickets to a game on thanksgiving

  35. avatar J-Kay says:

Only 7 1 PM games? ergh

  36. avatar Jeffy says:

Look the bottom line is you can’t really judge a schedule too hard before a season bc obviously some teams that stunk last year will be good and some teams that look great now will have injuries and have bad seasons. With that said, I hope we can get to the BYE week 4-2. If the jets do that, you gotta like the next crop of games. Packers at HOME, Lions, browns, Texans HOME and the Bengals at HOME. That could be a very nice stretch to push us from 4-2 to possible 8-3.

It sucks we play NE every season week 2. But atleast we get them at home first.

    I’m pumped.

  37. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

Thanks MetJetVet and E Weeks for clearing it up…good deal

  38. avatar NamVetJet says:

Jets4Life had it on the money—obviously reliable source. Nice work. Sorry we don’t have Phins first game. Let’s move on to the draft.

  39. avatar Randy says:

    Marc

Good find.I never realized that all the tough teams we play, we have the Home Field advantage.Only teams that will be tough to play on the Road are the Pats,Maybe Miami and the Steelers are always hard to beat at their stadium.

  40. avatar Maximum Jets says:

Yes it’s a fairly tough schedule.. you’d expect it for a team that was one half away from a Super Bowl.
The NFL loves Rexy and the Jets!

  41. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

The Pats dodge Santonio and we dodge Welker one game…Week 13 should be interesting!!!!

  42. avatar James says:

    5 primetime games…that’s big.

  43. avatar Randy says:

Only downside to this schedule is that all our division teams will face Holmes 1 time each. That certainly takes an advantage away from us a little bit.I much rather play the Lions and Browns in 2 of the 4 weeks and save Holmes for both the Dolphin Games and both Patriot Games

  44. avatar Davo says:

Wow. The NFC East could be seriously impacted in the first month!

  45. avatar AKA....Drew says:

Most of the road games are against lesser competetion….in return alot of tough homes games, GB,Minn,Balt, Cinn,Houston

The new stadium better be rocking!!!!!

  46. avatar vbsiena24 says:

10-6 but 3-3 going into the bye

  47. avatar lou says:

why is edwards missign a game?

  48. avatar clint says:

But if you look at it this way, Viking will have no game tape of Holmes so they won’t know how we will use him.

  49. avatar Will says:

Won’t be easy, but I can see 11-5 or 12-4

  50. avatar Randy says:

Isnt it kinda funny how they made a Huge Issue out of week 17 games not being competitive and with the whole “Jets backing into the playoffs thing” We play the Bills in week 17 and you can even go on and say the Bears in 16 LMAO.Good luck to the Fins and Patriots who will knock one an other off to end the season.

  51. avatar Randy says:

Braylon Edwards is missing a game?WHY????

Thats a huge blow to start the season without Edwards and Holmes against the Ravens

  52. avatar steve says:

I like the Thanksgiving game. Only because I think the two teams will be winning up to that point and I may be a gem.

  53. avatar AKA....Drew says:

    Will said ……

Won’t be easy then predicts 12-4…. LOL Sometimes I love my fellow Jet fans!!!!

  54. avatar Emco says:

    @vbsiena24

10-6 doesn’t make the playoff and we are planning to win it….so give it another try?

  55. avatar C Low says:

I don’t like playing miami twice right after playing the pats. Beating the Pats and avoiding a fin hangover is going to be tough. I do like playing pats after thanksgiving but I think the pats play thanksgiving also……

  56. avatar Steve says:

tough start, gotta love the soft finish though

  57. avatar E. Weeks says:

There has been no mention of Edwards being suspended so can we please stop this already.

  58. avatar WOJF says:

Travelling TO Denver after the Monday night Favre bowl i simply unfair.

They have one tough Western time zone game and they place it after a MNF game.

Otherwise, schedule seems as best as could be expected, knew it was tough going in, nothing else really jumps out as unexpected except for all the primetime of course.

I like the Bengals rematch on TGiving night, fun, and well placed with extra rest for the Patriots showdown the following Monday night ,although I presume the Pats are also playing on Tgiving?

  59. avatar Randy says:

Im really surprised though that 3 of the 1st 4 games will be against our division. At the same time, we can control the division early on if we win all 3 games.

  60. avatar C-MART28 says:

lmao why u guys makin stuff up Edwards hasn’t been suspended.

  61. avatar cmonleon says:

Eegz that’s a pretty rough schedule

  62. avatar WOJF says:

Only three 1pm starts at home, tough for the ticketholders.

  63. avatar Randy says:

I hope Ocho Brought his Turkey with him because he will have a long day on Revis Island come Thanksgiving.

  64. avatar jmac_the_man says:

Every Jets game against a credible division opponent (i.e. not Buffalo) is on in prime time.

We play the Ravens, Pats, Fins, and Bills without Holmes. Ravens and Pats are at the Meadowlands, though.

Long week before the second Pats game. The Pats have a long week that week too, and even longer if you count that they play the Lions the week before.

Bye week is week 7. If King Rex needs to implement a turnaround, he’s got time to do so. (Especially if you consider Detroit and Cleveland right in a row in weeks two and three after the bye.)

If Favre is playing, Jets/Vikings on MNF will be unwatchable if you don’t mute the TV.

Overall, I see the Jets in the 11 to 12 win range.

  65. avatar Eric in StL says:

uhhhh- why the hell do we play one of the best teams in the AFC followed by 3 divisional games without our #1 receiver? fun stuff

  66. avatar C Low says:

GUYS, think of it this way. With thanksgiving we have 2 byes. Split the season in thirds. 6 games, 5 games, 5 games. Nice well timed rests. I LIKEY

  67. avatar johnsec.125 says:

only on fox one time. that’s weird. bet fox isn’t happy about it.

  68. avatar Tim says:

@johnsec.125 Not that weird, Fox covers NFC games more than AFC.

  69. avatar MEL31602 says:

Well the bright side is we have a bunch of winnable games right in the middle of the schedule. Of course we said the same last year…

Also with the Bears and Bills to end the season we won’t have to worry about people saying we only got in because other teams wanted us in. I think we are perfectly capable of beating those teams even if they play their starters and they likely would have no reason to rest them anyway

  70. avatar Give Leon The Damn Ball says:

flipper has a tough first 10 weeks

    1. @ bills
    2.@ vikings
    3. jets
    4. pats
    5. bye
    6. @ packers
    7. steelers
    8.@ bengals
    9. @ ravens
    10. titans

  71. avatar NamVetJet says:

Too many prime time games. Only 3 1PM games at home. As a ticket holder not happy. But then again they never consult with me.

  72. avatar Bent says:

Actually, during the playoffs, Schefter reported he’d be disciplined by the league for the nightclub incident. No punishment has (to my knowledge) been announced, although hopefully it would be a fine only. At the time, he said that if there was a suspension, it would apply at the start of the 2010 season.

Since some other suspensions in respect of events that occurred later have recently been announced, hopefully that’s a sign he will be okay.

  73. avatar NamVetJet says:

Just noticed proved WOJF right again.

  74. avatar Eman says:

UMMM I SEE 8-8 10-6 at best plus we start off the season 0-2 playing ravens with no edwards and pats with no holmes… Plus miami with no holmes @ mia….

  75. avatar WW85 says:

WOW. THERE ARE ALMOST NO WEEKENDS TO RELAXE. ALMOST EVERY GAME IS MARQUEE I will need to exercise, eat healthy & prepare my HEART for the INSANITY that is coming our way.

STRAP IN FOR A SICK RIDE!!!

  76. avatar AKA....Drew says:

For any watching the NFL Network …….they are a disaster in their analysis of the Jets schedule and prediction of 2010 records…

Jim Mora Jr…Umm the Jets won 8 games in 2008 and 8 games in 2009…So Ill say 8 in 2010?? Amazing

M Lombardi….They Jets have to play the Dolphins and Bills 2 teams they couldnt beat last year? Wow!! The NFL should be ashamed their shield is attached to this nonsense

  77. avatar nicko says:

hey guys..just think, these other teams and fans are looking at thier schedules and saying “oh no, we gotta play the Jets”……lets get this season started…..top ranked D from last year, and we added cromartie, pool, taylor, jenkins, and whoever we draft………holmes, LT to the offense…..HERE WE COME BABY…

  78. avatar Kevino says:

It’s not an easy schedule, but if this team is as good as we think it is, then they have to find a way to win these games, especially the difficult ones..

  79. avatar Give Leon The Damn Ball says:

    drew

just saw that as well. that was awful coverage to say the least

  80. avatar adornoj1 aka JetFan in Miami says:

Pretty much what i expected…tough 3 game opener, but i can see a big run being made from the middle to the end of the season.

  81. avatar C Low says:

Tough Sched, but unlike past years, ALL ARE LEGIT WINNABLES. No juggernauts because WE R THE JUGGERNAUT. 12-4

  82. avatar Dylan says:

Eman, are you kidding?! 8-8? This is an easier schedule than last year. The Ravens game wasn’t going to come down to WRs either way. Whichever teams has more success running the ball and plays better defense will win. Plus the Pats wont have Welker during week 2. Thats a MUCH bigger loss than Holmes. The Jets will go 12-4.

  83. avatar NamVetJet says:

Rex just on ESPN2 talking about schedule. You just gotta love the guy. He just seems so genuine, no nonesense. At the end he told Bruschi he could come over and be a Jet too.

  84. avatar Revisisbeast says:

13-3 losses to minn, 1 to the pats and 1 against the phins

  85. avatar TJBfan (twitter @infresco4) says:

    Perfect!

    3 prime time games
1 non pt game @ home per month
5 away games that start at 4 pm or later

= I may very well be able to watch 13 games and attend all 8 home games.

My biggest concern is I work retail so I work 8-4 set schedule every sunday. I may get away with requesting one sunday per month for the season and I’m off mondays….yay :)

  86. avatar NamVetJet says:

TJBFan–put in the schedule requests now.

  87. avatar MIKE says:

i was concern at first faceing the ravens.. but with Taylor with the Jets and who ever we get in the draft.. we should be in good shape

  88. avatar MIKE says:

    Revisisbeast

I dont believe we will lose to the fins this season.. the jets are to good, Last season it was rex first year.. this is his second year… he should do good

  89. avatar matt says:

big first 4 weeks i think we need to go 3-1 cant afford to lose to miami or buffalo this year if we want to win the division

  90. avatar MIKE says:

3 DIVISION GAMESBBACK TO BACK TO BACK??THATS RIDICOULOUS

  91. avatar matt says:

if we go4-0 in our first 4 games we will be set

  92. avatar MIKE says:

This looks like a very tough schedule but i believe in Rex and the Jets Defense

  93. avatar joe schmitzenheimer says:

ALL OF THE NON-DIVISIONAL HOME GAMES ARE PLAYOFF TEAMS EXCEPT FOR THE TEXANS WHO WERE 9-7. ALL OF THE NON-DIVISIONAL AWAY GAMES ARE ALL NON-PLAYOFFS TEAMS. ME LIKEY!!! EXCEPT FOR WE PLAY THE VIKINGS AND I WOULD RATHER HAVE A LATER BYE. I HAVE CAPS ON!

  94. avatar jcjets says:

Our road schedule shook out pretty well! Other than our division rivals, our only “tough” road games are at the Steelers and the Broncos (always a tough place to play..)

Pats are playing at the Steelers, and Chargers.

Dolphins seem to have a very tough road schedule playing at the Vikings, Packers, Bengals and Ravens.

Annd the Pats and dolphins are playing each other in week 17. That could def have playoff implications.

I’d say of the 3 teams competing for the AFC east, we got the most favorable schedule.

  95. avatar Drack says:

Going to the Pats late in the season for what seems like the fifth straight year is just BS.

  96. avatar WW85 says:

    JETS JUST SIGNED JASON TAYLOR.

  97. avatar Bent says:

jcjets – well, obviously…we don’t have to play against the Jets!

  98. avatar brian d says:

pretty hard schedule but we had to expect that…..considering what we did last year and with the off season moves i feel we gotta be at least 4-2 after the first 6 then we have a bye and get the lions and browns tooo follow and thats where we make are run too 12-4 hopefully 11-5 at worst lol

  99. avatar Harvlis says:

This schedule is going to be tough for me. I have a rough time waiting for game time, if it is not on at 1PM on Sunday.

This schedule shows that, the league knows we are an exciting team. Brilliant, young QB/RB combo, RB/WR enigmas in LT and Braylon, top notch O-line, scary CB combo, killer LB crew, Jenkins coming back, Haynesworth in the wings, and an outstanding coaching staff.

Now, if they play to their ability, they can make this schedule look easy. Sanchez needs to play like he did in the playoffs. I truly feel, he has the ability to be even better than he was in the playoffs. If they give Rex an offense… J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!

  100. avatar broward says:

    16-0….cant wait

  101. avatar BigKatFan says:

    worst case scenario: 7-9
    best case scenario: 10-6

  102. avatar TJBfan (twitter @infresco4) says:

NamVetJet I’m def on it thanks!

Also everyone remember you want the harder games at home. When our stadium rocks as the 12th person it makes our already stellar defense even better!

  103. avatar Eric in StL says:

tough start to the year- anywhere between 1-5 and 6-0 is realistic before the bye. this is going to be an interesting start to the season, i’m nervous about this one- starting without santonio holmes for the first 4 is going to be tough

  104. avatar Reprocity says:

I want us to play the best! I want us to be the best with no excuses… In Rex we trust!

  105. avatar Crystal Gunns says:

Jets finally get some national broadcast love. I agree, not sure where we are yet. Could be 1-5 could be 6-0. A lot of pieces need to come together. Will we gel? We’ll find out.

  106. avatar john l says:

    19- 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  107. avatar jcjets says:

    haha good point Bent!

Man usually the off season takes FOREVER, but this year its flying by..

  108. avatar LeRevis says:

Scheduled to fly into Revis Island,
    1. Anquan Boldin
    2. Randy Moss
    3. Barndon Marshall
    4. Lee Evens
    5. Sidney Rice
    6. Dez Bryant?
    7. Greg Jennings
    8. Calvin Johnson
    9. Muhammed Massoquoi?
    10. Andre Johnson
    11. Chad Ochocinco
    12. Mike Wallace?
    13. Devin Hester
    Dont get lost hahahahahaaa!!!!!!!

  109. avatar MIKE says:

Our defense is just going to be better after the draft

  110. avatar rusty sanchez says:

i was thinking 11-5 and thas splitting with mia and ne and a sweep of buf

  111. avatar Jets-Fan-4-Life says:

    Wow what a tough schedule!!

But I want to send a shout out to to owner of my beloved NY Jets…Woody Johnson for pushing around the Comish over that coin toss fiasco!! “Way to go boss” you did awesome!!! You landed us “5″ Prime Time night games “3″ of which are at home!!

I tell you this will surely get a Primary Sponsor to sign on for stadium naming rights too! COME ON JET-BLUE!!!

Not only that but what a season we are looking at, it almost like a soap opera!

    The underline story includes

1- The Jets face current rival Pats (led by Bill and Tom)
2- The Jets face old rival Dolphins with former Jets QB (Chad)
3- Justin Taylor faces his beloved Flipper (Dolphins)
4- Rex Ryan facing his former team (Ravens)
5- The Jets face their former coach (Mangini)
6- Braylon & Pool face their former team & coach (Mangini/Browns)
7- The Jets could face their former QB (Favre)
7a-(If Farve stayed he would have played against his former team (Packards) aswell as his former devision rivals
8- Holmes faces his former team (Steelers)
9- Jets get chance to beat the Bangles 3 times in a row
10- Chad Johnson (Ocho) gets to play the team he keeps complaining about to the Comish
11- Woody Johnson took on the Goodell and won MORE PRIME TIME HOME GAMES then the Giants…. Ha Ha Gay Men!
12- Jets have their own LT (which upsets Giants Fans)
13- If Justin Taylor gets Jersey #56 (it will upset Giants Fans)
14- The Jets get a deal with HBO Hard Knocks
15- The Jets get a new stadium (with super bowl bid)

  112. avatar Jets-Fan-4-Life says:

16- Jets face former coach now GM (The Tuna)
17- Alan Faneca faces his old team (Steelers)

  113. avatar DonnyLeDo says:

    Loving the prime time love!!!!

Tough schedule, but definetly think we can handle the competition this year! So pumped!

  114. avatar Jets-Fan-4-Life says:

18- Any related news to current players (Sanchez, Revis…etc)
19- Any related news to former players (Namath, Martin…etc)
20- Jets history all the way back to Super Bowl III
21- A run at the championship last season
22- A new run to the championship this season (including a possible Super Bowl win)

  115. avatar Stinky says:

Don’t like this schedule. Don’t like it at all. Too many non sunday games means a lot of short weeks. At least we don’t have to travel to the West Coast.

  116. avatar Give Leon The Damn Ball says:

prime time will be GOOD for this jets team. the players we have still have a chip on their collective shoulders and are looking for respect. no better place to get it by playing in front of a national audience.

  117. avatar Jets-Fan-4-Life says:

    Drama….Drama…!!!

    Loving it…!!!

  118. avatar LeRevis says:

Our team will be one of the best conditioned teams in the league…I’m not worried about the short weeks.

  119. avatar BigJets says:

Well Jason Taylor gets to play against Miami 2x hopefully with a big chip on his shoulder since the didnt even wanna meet with him LOL

And Santonio gets back b4 we play the Steelers.

  120. avatar Marvel says:

13-3 … All the 8-8 stuff kneeds to stop …

  121. avatar Lush Greenery says:

Yanno – I love the whole concept of the NFL Network. The coverage for the most part is top notch. But they have 2 hours of Prime Time programming that they’ve been hyping for weeks now, and they run out the friggin “C” team? Fran Charles? Wilcots? Mora? Jeez. Mora doesn’t even know how many wins the Jets had last year. Lombardi doesn’t have the nuts to repeat any of the trash he posted earlier today. They run a Path to the Draft every day at 6. Where’s Mayock? They force me to watch ESPN and listen to friggin Kiper and McShay who think the draft is all about them and no one else. ESPN had interviews with coaches (Rex), and players, etc. NFL Net had nothing but dopey analysts popping balloons at the end to see who was going to the Super bowl. And Steve Mariucci hypng the Thursday night schedule. Bad job when ESPN out covers you.

  122. avatar Dylan says:

This is not a tough schedule. We already knew who our opponents were going to be. I think we got very lucky this year.

    Week 1- Ravens
Rex is going to be preparing for this game ALL summer. This game is not going to be about the passing attacks, so I don’t think not having Holmes is going to matter too much. Which ever team runs the ball better and plays good defense is going to win.

    Week 2- Patriots
No Welker or Holmes. I think thats a big advantage for the Jets. The Jets can not stop Welker. We were able to beat the Patriots at home w/o Welker, and our team was MUCH weaker. It was Sanchez’s second start!

    Week 3- @ Dolphins
Tough game. I think Clowney is going to have the chance to step up in that game. You have to think that the Jets are going to be looking for revenge. Will the Dolfans cheer or boo JT?

    Week 4- @ Bills
I love that we are playing the Bills in Buffalo so early in the season. I hate playing over there in December. Unless Sanchez throws 5 picks (again) it should be an easy win.

    Week 5- Vikings
Imo this is our toughest game of the season. The good news is that its a home games. I really want to see Jenkins crush Favre!

    Week 6- @ Broncos
I’m not too worried about the Marshal(less) Broncos. I didn’t think they were very good last year, and I dont think they are good now. Good defense, but there offense doesn’t scare me at all.

    Week 7- Bye

    Week 8- Packers
Tough game. The Jets are going to need to get pressure on Rodgers. Again, i’m happy its a home game.

    Week 9- @ Lions
The Lions are going to be better, but this is still an easy win.

    Week 10- @ Browns
    Another easy win.

    Week 11- Texans
I think this is going to be a very good game. The Texans are a very good team. If the Jets play their games though (tough D and run the ball) it will be a hard game for the Texans to win on the road. The Texans are good, but they aren’t very tough.

    Week 12- Bengals
The Bengals aren’t all that good. The Jets handled them (twice) pretty easily last season. I don’t think the Bengals have really improved since that time, and the Jets have gotten a lot better.

    Week 13- @ Patriots
This will be a very tough game if Welker is back. Should be a very competitive game.

    Week 14- Dolphins
At home with Holmes. Should be a good game.

    Week 15- @ Steelers
Honestly, I don’t think the Steelers are very good. I don’t think they will be in contention for a playoff spot at this point in the season.

    Week 16- @ Bears
The Bears won’t be able to throw the ball at all vs. the Jets. They don’t have any good receivers. They also couldn’t run the ball last year. This should be a pretty easy win for the Jets.

    Week 17- Bills
The Bills won’t be playing for anything (except the #1 overall pick in 2011). Probably the easiest win of the season.

I suspect that the NFL is trying to help Woody J sell some seats by giving him really tough home opponents throughout the year. 2 monday night games and a thanksgiving game are also gonna be at home.

Way early to tell, but Dec. 19 @ Pitt could potentially be flexed.

  131. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

Ravens and Vikings (if Favre comes back) are the toughest games before the Bye…sorry New England with NO welker at home should be a game we win

Green Bay will be a tough one, I like the way we match up against the Texans though, Pittsburgh will be a tough matchup as well

    11-5 division title

  132. avatar ramble914 says:

We open with back to back home games for the first time since 1960!!! Talk about getting screwed for a long time. lol

  133. avatar Dhani Jones' Bowtie says:

i am seeing a 16-0 regular season right there

  134. avatar Shane L. says:

I’m not loving this schedule, brutal games to start out, short weeks, the last 4-5 games are tough, again with the week 2 home game vs Pats then late season @Pats, early game @Mia again sets them up nicely. Plus maybe the best team in the AFC this yr in Ravens to open up. I think the league really tried to make this brutal on the Jets cuz of their reaction to the whole coin toss fiasco.

I’m prob overreacting, I’m pumped about the Prime games, and bottom line, the opponents don’t matter. If you wanna be a winning team and get respect you have to earn it by beating the best. So we’ll see what we’re made of soon enough.

  135. avatar jleonhard says:

    14-2
lose one to the patriots, and bills last game of the season cuz we rest the starters

  136. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

Well if Lombardi is right, after the draft we are going to create 3 GAPING holes and release Ellis, Bryan Thomas and Faneca…I wont be so optimistic if that happens

well, since I live @ Denver, my Oct. 17th plans have been set.

Don’t worry, boys – I will be there to represent.

Last time Jets @ MileHigh was really bad loss (Bollinger got knocked out cold, I think Kliff Kingsbury came in as the 4th string guy – Kliff Kingsbury, people!), I’d say I’m a lot more likely to enjoy a W this time around!

To their credit, the Donkey fans rode me good that day. I wouldn’t mind giving some back this year!

  139. avatar OriginalJetFan says:

!2-4 at worst AFC East Champ, bye 1st round of playoffs, then home for next two, then Superbowl. Start planning the parade now.

  140. avatar TruJetFan says:

it will be nice having all these Sunday’s to spend time with the kids. Sarcastic. While it’s nice to have recognition, more than 1 Monday night game at home is B.S. I’m going to the first one, but will have to sell my tix to the Vikings game. A man has to go to work in the morning.

  141. avatar Wolf says:

    Undefeated.

I am LOVING the 3 Monday Night games…

Fellow Jets fans, click on my name to get to my site. On my site, I have created custom Jets wallpapers and have updated some of them to include the newly released schedule.

Feedback is very much appreciated! I hope you guys enjoy them…

  144. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

If this is anything more than just pre draft smoke screens, releasing Ellis and Faneca would ruin the entire great offseason and set the team back from its goal of competing for Super Bowl…Id feel betrayed by this team and owner if Woody cheaps out and ruins the veteran leadership and winning players by cutting Big Katt and Faneca for nothing

  145. avatar cmonleon says:

o god i want him off the team already. jason taylor wants no part of us i feel like we sold our soul to the devil.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/20/jason-taylor-says-he-only-had-one-offer/

  146. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

Great job by the Jets recently-

cut Faneca and Ellis and sign a guy who doesnt want to be here….just AWESOME

I swear to God if they screw this up now after how close we are to winning a Super Bowl, I’d be so betrayed by Woody Johnson I hate the man til the day I died

  147. avatar C Low says:

WE PLAY MIAMI BOTH TIMES AFTER PLAYING PATS!!!!!!!!! IF WE BEAT PATS, WE CANT HAVE NEXT WEEK HANGOVER

  148. avatar LeRevis says:

I really hope we dont release ellis, faneca, or thomas

  149. avatar Daniel says:

Torry Holt signed with the Pats…

Not sure if that’s been mentioned yet…

  150. avatar Joe B. says:

    Eddie DiGio -

“Great job by the Jets recently-
cut Faneca and Ellis and sign a guy who doesnt want to be here….just AWESOME”

You’re smarter than this. I must have missed that news piece that said “Jets release Faneca, Ellis.” For the last time, Mike Lombardi is an idiot who will say anything for shock value and column reads. He doesn’t have one tenth of the reliable sources he thinks he does, and to take his word as gospel is dangerous. Calm down, there’s no reason to cut them, and Tanny’s not one to release someone “just because.”

  151. avatar LukeV says:

I can’t believe the season starts so late!! That really sucks, we have to wait until the 13th of September for football to start! Whack!

  152. avatar MEL31602 says:

As someone linked to above Cimini via ESPN NY (sounds weird typing that) reports Jets trying to trade Clemens. Don’t mind the idea but what are they going to get for him?

  153. avatar blevntuna says:

1-5 to start the year??? 7-9??? 8-8??? You must not be Jets fans…and in that case you are in for a rude awakening. This ain’t the same old Jets.

  154. avatar MEL31602 says:

Also he confirms Jets are shopping Faneca and perhaps Ellis

  155. avatar Daniel says:

Jane McManus is just awful… she called the Jason Taylor move a trade. ESPN has got to find a replacement…

  156. avatar k.c. says:

    NO WORSE THAN 11-5……GUARANTEED.

  157. avatar Daniel says:

    Ravens W
    Patriots W
Dolphins L (a solid team, we’ll probably split as they’ve had our number in recent years)
    Bills W
Vikings L (change to a W if Favre isn’t back)
    Broncos W
    Packers W
    Lions W
    Browns W
Texans L (only because we’ll have to adjust to playing actual NFL teams after having a 2 week bye)
Bengals W (Chad changes his name to Dos Cuatro)
Patriots L (we’re good enough to beat them twice but like always we won’t sweep)
    Dolphins W
    Steelers W
    Bears W
    Bills W

    12-4

  158. avatar k.c. says:

    at ABSOLUTE,ABSOLUTE WORST,…….10-6.

  159. avatar BigKatt says:

Daniel i totally agree she’s garbage

And this looks like a 13-3 season to me, 11-5 in the worst case scenario.

Ryan responded to Lombardi’s assertion about cutting Faneca, Ellis, and Thomas with “Whatever. Nice Report.” Sounds like they’re going nowhere

  161. avatar Eric in StL says:

also, i think the Jets and Ravens are 2a and 2b in the AFC- that’s a brutal opener, I was hoping to see them when we had santonio back. also what is the word about braylon being suspended- where’d that rumor come from?

  162. avatar jetfaninla says:

I love the primetime respect. And you can bet that i’ll be flying to denver to catch that game in person!

  163. avatar Spiegs311 says:

not a very easy schedule. time to prove we’re the best!

  164. avatar miketaliaferro says:

Think the Bills will be sitting their starters in Wk. 17?

  165. avatar James in TN says:

Jim Mora is a joke, look at his coaching record.

    Jets go 11-5.

    Go Jets!!!

  166. avatar Chris says:

Best – Easiest scehdule I have seen in many years from a travel standpoint !!! Start the season at home for 2 weeks. Only as far as Denver and then the bye week. Start 2nd half at home. Thanksgiving AT HOME and then 3 EXTRA days to prepare for road game in New England. Nice……

  167. avatar Doug says:

No incredible pass D’s the first 4 games.

I like this schedule a lot…As pointed out, not much travel and a lot of time between important games

  168. avatar Tos9987 says:

    Oh boy , I am sorry .

I was under the impression after the whole thing with edwards punching the guy in cleavland he was getting a suspention

    I was wrong it seems

  169. avatar 96DEBACLE says:

    lets see
    start off 2-2
go to 2-5 (cries of outrage (fans) and overrated comments (haters) fly around)
then go 7-2 the second half
end result 9-7 for the season
    wild card

  170. avatar gr33n says:

Too bad we don’t have Holmes for those three division games right off the bat.

GROUND AND POUND continues, for at least the first 4 games. Good thing we don’t face a crazy passing attack any of those weeks. (Unless NE drafts some WRs.)

  171. avatar Brendan says:

So we get Pats at home without a healthy Welker in week 2 again.

We get Miami coming to town in the middle of December. We should start the season 3-1, 4-0. This is getting me all the more pumped for this season.

  172. avatar Eddie DiGio says:

    Joe B

I was SICK over this…SICK…ruined my whole day

    You’re right though

I was buggin out over this last night

  173. i still cant get over this

    THREE MNF GAMES!!!
