Cotchery will still shine with Edwards and Holmes on the team because teams will forget about him and allow him to tear up 1 on 1 coverage vs the 3rd CB’s on the team.
He wont have the big numbers but he will make a whole bunch of big plays as usual and probably even more.

Couldn’t agree more BurbankJetsFan!!!!!

I’m gonna make a somewhat bold prediction and say that I think Cotchery will have more receptions and yards than Edwards or Holmes.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that happens.None of them will make the pro bowl or have that type of season but collectively they should have the most productive WR core in the NFL or at least top 5.

i agree on J-Co, considering that opponents 3rd best CB will be covering him most of the time – I think he has a big year.
I dont think there will be enough balls to go around for all 3 WRs (and keller) to put up big numbers, but I could see the passing unit, as a whole, making a big jump

There’s no room for Coles on this team. Our 4th WR and lower need to play special teams as well.

With the addition of Santonio Holmes, 4th wide receiver is Brad Smith. Question is, who will fill in during Holmes 4-game suspension?
I’m saying, it would great fun to see Clowney come through. He’s been a one-dementional speedster, but effective in pre-season. I know, we’re looking for a slot receiver; yet, he’s an interesting, compelling underdog. I hope Hard Knocks covers him… and, I love to see him make it somewhere in the NFL.

By golly I missed mentioning Brad Smith… No reason whatsoever he couldn’t be the #4 receiver. If he tightens up his routes in camp he can be the third WR, he should definitely share the load with the clown…

Sorry to echo your last post, Dean! Great minds, I guess…

No Problemo… happens to me all the time – LOL!
Judging from your moniker, BurbankJetsFan, you’re living in Los Angeles. Have you been to Timmy Nolan’s?
My buddy, Frankie “Gabagool” Pecoraro runs the Jet Fans Club there. It’s huge!

im sure we’ll survive without holmes for the 1st 4 games…as for whoever plays the slot when all 3 of our guys are on the field…is gonna dominate the # 3 corner
…most likely gonna be cotch…and we dont need coles…we have a bunch of younger recievers who can do the job…the 2 im most interested in seein is audre allican and cumberland…both are very fast but cumberland being 6’4″ 250 and runs fast like a reciever…i just hope this guy knows how to run routes…anyway, just my thoughts… -
I agree, we don’t need Coles but the Jets are interested and they usually get what they want at a reasonable price too.
I like Brad as our # 3 and Clowney #4 whiles Holmes sits but you guys have to admit that Coles is a better option and no one will complain if jets make the move. How will it hurt us?

i wont complain…i just want to see what our younger guys can do…give them a chance…just sayin…

Wonder what the gameplan is for the first four games. Bringing in Coles would still have opposing defenses think twice about stacking the box. He could last long enough before that one good hit that sits him out, usually around Week 4… Cotch, Holmes, Edwards, Keller, LT2, McKnight (he’ll be fine), Coles… Fear the passing game!
