Lineman Keith Buckman returned home and talked his local paper, the Fargo-Moorhead Forum about his experience in Florham Park.
“The toughest thing was learning the plays,” Buckman said. “The playbook is tough.”
Educating himself on the team’s basic plays and schemes and then performing them to the coaching staff’s expectations was challenging, Buckman said.
“The plays were really tough for me. That’s my biggest thing, getting the plays down,” Buckman said. “It’s hard when you don’t know the plays to go hard and fast. That was my biggest thing.
“We were there and all of a sudden, when you’re starting to get it, you have to leave. Three days doesn’t give you much (time).”
Buckman laughed about the attention he received for a Associated Press national story about his choice to go to the Jets’ minicamp instead of being in his brother’s wedding last Saturday.
“They must have been bored or something,” he said

Mike D,
I agree, also if the ipads had virtual madden style graphical execution of the plays. it would be alot easier to learn and run plays when you can visually see how it should be done.

Has anybody seen ANY story about this kid that talked about his play — either in college or, more importantly, on the field in rookie camp?
His wedding stuff is as played out as team chemistry.

It would be cool if NFL playbooks were put on to iPads, thus making them interactive and easier to learn.
