Leonhard’s story reminds me so much of Chrebet that it is no wonder he is endeared in Wisconsin much in the same way Wayne is in LI.

Jim Leonhard is quickly becoming one of my favorite Jets.

I love the offseason like I love discovering the prostitute is a tranny. Sure, it’s a dude, but it’s still a prostitute.

I can sum Jimmy Leonard up with one word, “Cherbet”. On another note, maybe someone can help me make since of the Fanaca trade. I have been going over some of last year’s games to see if this was warranted and I cannot come up with any reason to agree with the move. What harm would of come to us by keeping him? It just doesn’t make any since. Was it personal?

Carlito – It’s pretty simple. Faneca couldn’t pass block, and this season we’re about to pass more. I think when it boils down that’s the main reason we let him go.

  11. avatar Carlito says:

BigKatt- I Appreciate the response, but in all the film I watched I didn’t see that to be the case. Believe me, your reasoning helps me sleep at night as well but, I don’t see that to be true. If Vlad was to eventually replace Fanaca, why not keep him on as a mentor for the rook.

  12. avatar Bent says:

Carlito – if the film you watched was from the end of the season, you’d have seen a guy that was playing at an elite level, even in pass blocking (although they did pass less at the end of the year). However, earlier in the year, he even struggled in run blocking, often a step too slow when pulling (his strength) and a non-factor in drive blocking.

At the time, he attributed his struggles to the fact he was getting to grips with the zone blocking scheme they planned to implement, but I guess the Jets didn’t completely buy this explanation.

Only time will tell if they can get equivalent production from any of the cheaper replacements they have, but it does seem that the reason was dissatisfaction with his performance, rather than financial or personal.
