TJB Giveaway: Jets Best Games of 2009 DVD
Who likes free stuff? What about free JETS stuff? What about free JETS stuff that’s not even available publicly yet? Do I really need to ask?
This giveaway comes courtesy of Warner Home Video, who has graciously given us some advance copies of New York Jets Best Games of the 2009 Season, which comes out on June 1, 2010.
The set includes three discs with and feature the network game broadcasts for the price of $26.95.
The three featured games are:
- Week 2: Victory over division rival Tom Brady and the New England Patriots
- AFC Wildcard Game: Mark Sanchez’s coming-out party in the exciting AFC Wild Card playoff win over the Cincinnati Bengals
- AFC Divisional Game: The upset victory over the San Diego Chargers that sent the Jets to the AFC Championship game.
To enter the contest just comment on this post with the words “J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!” by Wednesday, May 12th at 8pm EST.
While you’re at it tell us what else makes you fired up for the 2010 season(Revis Island Part 2? Santonio? Hard Knocks?, etc.).
This prize is available to residents of all 50 US states and there’s only one entry per valid e-mail address allowed. One winner will be selected using random.org’s Random Sequencer and announced later in the week. Good luck!!!

last year probably was the most entertaining season i’ve seen in being a fan for ova 25yrs…
i am only 28, but came out the womb a jets fan..lol, my mom and aunt use to go every every jets practice as far back as Broadway Joe….they got books of autographs of every jet, i was looking at one album last yr, when my mom was moving, and i didn’t know Mike Holmgren was a jet the yr after they won the superbowl, he was a te in training camp, i dnt think he made the roster that yr tho….lol…

After more than 40 years of futility except for one glorious year, watching games from the Polo Grounds to Shea and to Jints ballpark (and of course mostly from my TVs), my optimism stems from:
a) Rex’ no BS approach to coaching to win;
b) Tanny’s commitment to get the best players even if it means trading up in a draft or taking some risk, etc.On paper, if we are ever going to overtake the Pats and Fish, this be the year.

Looking forward to 7+ shut outs. There will be no pass game against us, and few teams can really put points on the board with only the run game.
Also looking forward to week 6 @ Denver. I suspect that will be the week when the new pass attack is going to click. Denver will have steeled themselves against the run, but Sanchez will throw for 300+ yards with TDs to Keller, Holmes, Edwards and LT. That’s going to be sweet!

I hated it we thought we were good and the next season we took one step back. I really think Rex is the real deal. Yea he talks alot but thats what i like about him. This season cannot start soon enough. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more talented Jets team on paper before. The #1 defense should be even better (Jenks for a full season, Cro, Wilson, Taylor) The Sanchize is no longer a rookie and he has more weapons to play with. In Rex we trust!

I’m not a religious man, so I’ve always thought BC and AD were arbitrary ways to measure time. Instead, my calendar is set to BD and PR (Before Darelle; Post Revis). As we enter the year 4 PR, this is the most optimistic I’ve been about an upcoming season since 8BD, when Vinny dropped back and the Giant’s home turf (it was never our stadium) sacked his achilles. But that was the old Jets; a team that never got a break, a team that got Briened and Hermed, a team that got faked spiked. In the modern, PR era, we get schedule breaks. We attract big name stars. We get a stadium. The BD version of me would have been terrified about everything that could go wrong this season. The PR Jet fan in me is booking plane tickets and a hotel room in Dallas. The savior has arrived.

Most excited about the potential of our secondary, with the additions of Cromartie, Wilson and Pool.
Already the best secondary in the NFL last year…..by a near historic margin..(30.6 yards less per game than 2nd)….that only allowed 8 passing TD’s against.
Going back and watching film…….and seeing games where Dwight Lowery was getting picked apart by Chad Henne, or Drew Coleman was getting shredded by Manning…….and realizing that we’ll have Antonio Cromartie and Wilson playing exponentially better man to man coverage in those same situations this year?
………absolutely drool inducing.

Living in Miami I’m looking forward to seeing the Jets drown the fish. Going to Sunday night game v Fish with a group of Miami fans. Though I don’t like Jason Taylor I’m going to get a Taylor Jets jersey and wear it to the game. That will mess them up big time!!! LOL -

If I have to choose one, I think the idea of the Jets FINALLY getting out of the Giants’ shadown in the New York sports scene. For years, the Jets have always played second fiddle to the Giants. However, I think it’s finally time for the Jets to take the spotlight and get the respect that they deserve.
