Mangold deserves a new contract as much as anyone in the league. He has been an all-pro center since his first game in a Jets uniform. Has he even missed a game? What a steal at the end of the first round.

By the way it sounded for Mangold, Im hopeful the Jets Give him his contract before the season starts to get the most out of his ability.Mangold talks as if he is worried about getting hurt may affect getting an extension.This may cause him to play it more safe and not play up to his highest potential.

DO NOT gamble with injuries. At this level, you sign the paper, THEN you slam into very large men. NOT the other way around. If you gamble and lose, you only get a handshake on the way out the door.
